Monthly Rentals in Gatcombe Wood

We had a wonderful time at Harebell Cottage! The rolling field views were stunning from our private garden area. It was so peaceful and lovely having resident goats, chickens and sheep roaming. The cottage is very quaint, nice getaway from modern day life and a lovely touch having a wood fire to cosy up with in the evenings. It's also a good location if you're looking to visit the Cotswolds like we did. All the beautiful sights we wanted to see were only an hour away: Bourton on the Water, Castle Combe, Stow on the Wold, Cotswolds Animal Park & Farm. We had communication with Alison during our stay and she was welcoming and helpful. She takes a laid back approach which makes you feel right at home. Thankyou so much x

I had a beautiful time at the Stables! It’s a getaway from the world at a working farm. I love animals, so I asked to meet some of them, and Yvonne took me to see (and pet!) the milking cows, and explained the entire process to me! The house had traditional charm but was has been updated everywhere that it counts. They have lists of local recommendations but I was happy to get groceries and use the excellent kitchen at the property. I did not have a car and was warned about difficulty getting around but as I was only interested in nature and peace and quiet, getting to and from on public transport was easy enough. Finally, Yvonne was always prompt responding to me and was very friendly and welcoming! I’d love to come back!

Lovely stay. We came to explore where mum grew up and what a lovely base underdean lodge was for that. We had some lovely walks right out the back door. Lovely and clean and all the facilities we could possibly need. Came with a toddler and was pleasantly surprised that it was so well equipped with baby gates and the foam floor mattress for her. Gave me peace of mind that she was safe. Thankyou

Absolutely stunning setting! Deers and lamb on the door step, beautiful walks right from the door. Less than 10 minutes from activities and resturants in the car. Host was very friendly and kind. The cottage itself is full of everything you could possibly need, extremely well stocked and well thought out. A well needed stress free week for all our family - highly recommended! If you need to get away from a busy lifestyle this is the place to go, thank you so much!
