this is the third time we have used this place and we love coming down and utilizing this space

This home is such an absolute gem! Beautiful location overlooking the beautiful Mississippi River - I love watching the natural beauty around us over my morning coffee! Robin most certainly has a talent for creating an environment that is welcoming and comfy - you feel right at home as soon as you walk through the front door. And the decor is beautiful with a river/beach theme. We love this place for our twice a year girls' getaway. Three of us meet in Port Byron for a long weekend. It's the perfect location for us to relax and reconnect with each other. It has plenty of room for the 3 of us to spend time together while also providing private space for each of us too. This is our third time staying at Robin's home and we are already planning for our next girls' weekend here later this fall!!

Exactly as the listing shows, great views, beautiful decor. Hot tub was perfect and ready to use, simply open and enjoy. We will definitely be back if staying in Peoria.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Big Oak. Marnie and Brian were waiting for us in their Gator when we arrived and greeted us like old friends. As a mom of a leash reactive pittie mix, I reached out to Marnie and Brian before we booked to confirm that there would in fact be no other dogs around and if there was, they would be leashed. They were both very understanding, honest and responsive when I made these inquiries. The Cabin itself is so stocked its insane. Anything you think you might need, they provide it. Olive oil, salt, heater, dog towels, tampons, toaster oven, home made cookies, coffee. They just really want you to feel at home and you DO. They also have it stocked with chilling out activities... things like games, music, DVDs, a full bird-feeder to watch birds, a scavenger hunt. The land is really well taken care of and beautiful. We enjoyed hiking the trails and taking in the sights. Our dogs had the time of their lives. We cannot wait to go back.. We already booked!

We were in town for a few days for some high school baseball games and to visit ISU and Bradley. Even though we were gone most of the day, it was SO nice coming back to Annabelle's in the evenings to unwind and relax. It's a beautiful cottage on the water that was clean, roomy, and full of amenities. Annabelle was friendly and accommodating even though nothing went wrong and everything in the cottage was better than described. The area was quiet and the view was INCREDIBLE. Even saw a bald and golden eagle outside in the early morning hours (and found binoculars too).

It had everything we needed for our stay. Check out instructions were clear. I would definitely stay here again

Amazing house, great views, great communication with owner, and overall great experience! It does technically fit 10 people but that’s assuming that 8 people have to share a bed with someone else which was less than ideal for our group but could be totally someone else could be looking for. Definitely 5/5 stars and would not change a thing about our experience!

This was our second time staying at this beautiful house and they beyond met our expectations once again with great flexibility and beautiful communication throughout! We hope to come back again next year!
