Monthly Rentals in Froggatt

We had a wonderful stay at Jack's Cottage. Matt was a great host who was good at communicating and attentive to us. We felt he genuinely cared about us as guests. The cottage was stunning with a beautiful garden. It was spotless inside and you could tell time had been taken to clean it. The cottage was full of character and nice furnishings. The log burner was lovely and the living room sofa comfortable. The hot tub was a highlight for us and was in a private place and clean. We went to Il Lipo's for an Italian and Charlie's for breakfast, both in Baslow which was a 5 minute drive away. We walked up and around Curbar edge which we would definitely recommend, and make sure you stop at Jolly's coffee van for a fantastic home made sausage roll. We'd definitely recommend this stay to anyone who wants a relaxing time away.

We arrived mid-afternoon and easily got into the property which we found to be lovely and clean. It was a real home from home. The surroundings and village were gorgeous with plenty to do and see within walking distance. We had a few lovely walks, spent some time in the local pub - The Miners arms, where we had a lovely tasty meal and also the cafe below for breakfast which again was just perfect. We only had to use the car once for a trip out otherwise we walked some of the various pathways, enjoying the views even if we did get wet on one occasion! It didn't spoil the views nor the relaxing atmosphere we all enjoyed. A big thank you from us all for sharing your beautiful home and it was a real pleasure getting to know your village and it's dark past and all those poor people who suffered back then.

Beautiful location alongside the river and you can sit in the hot tub and watch the ducks go by. The cottage is well kept inside, two good size bedrooms and lounge is cosy. The host Will was very friendly and happy to help. Would definitely recommend a walk up the hill to the Chequers pub as food is excellent and dog friendly.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Stable. It is full of character & expensively kitted out: seating & bedding so comfortable & everything immaculate. Val was always quick to respond & so helpful: we followed her suggestions of where to eat locally (recommend the Prince of Wales in Baslow & The Packhorse at Longstone) and we were very grateful for the ordinance survey maps & folder of walk guides etc. A shout out too for the incredible gift shop in Culvar, a walk downhill by the river- it’s a treasure trove! There’s a beautiful river walk along the Derwent from Culvar to Froggatt then cross to the other side to walk back. Beautiful! Thank you Val for a super holiday and for the generous goodies you left for us; much appreciated.
