Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Friesland

We got excellent instructions from Steffen about check in, besides this house is nice, cosy, we got there everything what we need. I highly recommended that place to stay! Thank you!

What a great location on Texel in the beautiful village of Oudeschild. Moderately centrally located, so you are everywhere within 15 min. The cottage was very complete, everything has been thought of. Unfortunately, Agnes herself was on vacation with her family, so we were not able to meet in person, but the communication went very well all week, also from Agnes it was regularly asked how everything went here, very nice!

We had a lovely weekend with our son (8) in Johannes' cottage. What attention has been paid to the construction and furnishing of this cottage, wonderfully how many details Johannes has managed to add, we recognized objects that our grandmother used to cook with or that were in her kitchen. The beds are comfortable, the cottage has all the comforts. Bicycles are available, but you can also go many ways by car from here. We hope to come back again to see more of the area.

Cottage matches the photos, even better (we didn't expect an entrance spacious enough to put our bikes under cover). Frootje is very responsive to messages and her mom welcomed us on arrival. Absolute calm, very clear environment, very pleasant living space, very good bedding. In the listing, there are 3 bedrooms, there are 4 (2 with double beds, separable if needed), and 2 with single beds. One of the double bedrooms is on the ground floor, which is good for people with difficulties with fairly steep stairs. Just so you know, the curtains could be blackout (in the bedrooms) for those who like darkness to sleep. And the toilet is located with the shower, a little annoying when you want to get ready in the morning. In short, a place to remember. Thank you for everything. Nadine

This was the most beautiful spot we have stayed at. The location and surrounding were so peaceful. Everything was exactly as shown in the photos.

The house is amazing, equipped, kitchen, rooms, all the facilities are high-end. Very suitable for family. The area is quiet and green, birds chirping, a real treat for nature lovers. The hosts are available for any question, help, and recommendation at an exceptional level.

We spend a wonderful weekend there with friends. The location is lovely and quiet, but close to lots of activities in the area. Perfect place to stay, we'll definitely come here again.

We were with a group of friends of 10 people and had a lovely stay in the AirBnB of Aleida and Rick. It had plenty of space, plenty of showers and toilets and each room had its own sink. The space was large and yet homey. Highly recommended if you want to explore Friesland with a group! Very nice host too, smooth contact and very nice thinking along. Despite the changeable weather, we really had a great weekend here!

What a great place, to stay at. I would recommend it to anybody visiting the area. Also the home is very pleasant to stay, very clean, lovely views from th living room, over the pond and the fields. Very quiet location for sleeping. The breakfast is very complete with fresly baked breads and croissants. And Cathie was so kind to let us pet her horses and goats. Such a nice, peaceful and cosy place! We stayed here to discover the Lauwersmeer with its variety of birds. It was lovely to start the day peaceful and end it cosy at Hans-Eriks place. Definitely would recommend! Would love to come back in a different season as well.

We stayed in the apartment for two nights for the second time. The apartment is super clean and very lovingly furnished. You have everything you need. Turn on the oven in the evening, no problem. Coffee, tea, two bottles of juice and a bottle of water are available. Cleaning products, vacuum cleaners, etc., everything available. We were completely satisfied. We booked the apartment because of the participation in the Fiets-Elfstedendocht.

We had an excellent stay! We were visiting family and exploring Friesland and this place was the perfect place for us to stay while doing so! Hella is so welcoming and greeted us when we arrived. The location was peaceful and relaxing with a beautiful view of a pond in the backyard and there were beautiful trails near the Airbnb. The Airbnb was an excellent home away from home while we traveled and if we were visiting in the area again we would definitely want to stay there again!

We greatly enjoyed this stay. It is a beautiful cottage with fantastic views. Breakfast is perfect. Furthermore, we also experienced the contact with Jitske as very pleasant. Tips: go bubbling in the jacuzzi, rent bikes to explore the area and take a walk through the Barefoot Path! We will definitely come back 😇

Ellen and Jaap were lovely hosts, we had an incredible stay at their place! It was so creatively and artistically decorated, and I have never slept better at an Airbnb — the beds were so comfortable, and the neighborhood was so peaceful. It was awesome to have a sweet dog and cat roaming around to make us animal-lovers feel right at home :) 5/5 stars on all levels!

What a nice stay we had! Super friendly people. Beautiful place and very central location. We were with 2 young children and this was very easy to do! Certainly subject to repetition! Who knows, maybe next year!😉

Jacques's place was simply amazing! Cannot recommend enough. He was very friendly and made the check-in easy and flexible. The house is big (enough space for 4, although we were a couple), very well equiped and Jacques is very proactive in recommending anything you need in the area and pointing you in the right direction (we needed a supermarket). The place is very quiet, green and serene so if you are looking for some nature ans relaxation is the perfect spot. And a very nice detail that impressed us was that in the house a cold bottle of water and a small prosseco was waiting for us. It was quite a warm day so we really appreciated the considerate gesture.

The place was/is very lovingly decorated. The surrounding area as well! It is a very functional place to stay and my personal taste is small and cozy. Yfke was present and accommodating when needed. She just has a knack for creating a nice and friendly atmosphere. All in all, recommended if you want to treat yourself.

The apartment Zwaluw has a very nice view from the large balcony. Hosts were very accommodating, friendly, concerned about our well-being and warm. For longer stays, bed linens and towels were exchanged and residual waste disposed of. Thus highly recommended. Gladly again, best regards, Sabine and Andreas.

Jannie and Arnold were great hosts, Arnold met us when we drove in and showed us the house. They gave us tips for restaurants in the area and supplied is with everything we needed for our night stay. The place is beautiful and peaceful, 10 minutes drive from Groningen. Would recommend for a peaceful weekend away.

It was super nice. The accommodation is beautifully located with a unique view of the IJsselmeer. As a result, there is also constantly fresh air, wind, and the sound of the water. We loved that. On the dike, there is also a beach for swimming. Good beds, great kitchen and shower, nice living room to relax. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday is there. The dog has also been thought of. We'd love to come back.

We were already there for the second time on the occasion of the Fietselfstedentocht. Johanna and her family are super friendly hosts who have equipped their cute Airbnb with many helpful things. Communication is also straightforward and very nice. We will be happy to come back!

Wonderful and nice central place to explore Schier. In the middle of the village, near the bus, restaurants, supermarket and cozy terraces. Cozily furnished and nice terrace at the front where you can watch the world pass a bit. Also very nice to be able to use the two basic but good quality bicycles. Adjustable saddle without tools in height. Recommended!

We had a great time. On the weekend, it was sometimes very loud because many tuners met in the parking lot opposite. During the week it was super quiet and we will be happy to come back

We spent a weekend with two families including four children. Location is beautiful, quiet yet close to all amenities. The accommodation is very complete and equipped with every comfort. The children have enjoyed the space with table tennis table, pool table and shuffleboard for hours. Ideal when it was raining outside. The horses outside were also very popular with the children. The sauna and plunge pool for the parents made the house complete. Mieke is very hospitable and gave us good tips for the surroundings. We had a fantastic weekend. The kids can't wait to go again.
