Chalet vacation rentals in Friesland

Very nice holiday cottage on quiet campsite. From the platform in the back of the garden you have a nice view of an open plain, we saw a few deer passing by in the early morning. The cottage has a beautiful garden, is also full of comforts and the contact with the owner is fine. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic week of vacation Extra nice to experience peace and quiet with New Year's Eve instead of harsh fireworks due to fireworks-free park. Beautifully decorated house and wonderful hiking area. Highly recommended.

Our stay at Haus Sonnenschein was what the name promises. If you are looking for a place to relax, this is the place to be, as the house is next to a nature reserve. Despite very spontaneous booking, everything worked wonderfully. We received all the important information before arrival so we found everything right away and none of our questions remained unanswered. The view of the sunrise is one of the highlights, next to the infrared cabin and the Schaafswiese next door. We only made nice acquaintances, especially the lady from the reception completed the stay wonderfully. My dog was always welcome and also made nice dog teams. All in all, we would highly recommend this place. A big thank you to Felix! We will be happy to come back. :)

The stay is a great accommodation. Everything was clean and a beautiful setting. Janet responds very quickly and that was very pleasant. Big feather👍

Marco's chalet is a small, but wonderful place. It's situated directly behind a private marina, in the first row of a settlement of similar chalets. The neighborhood is very quiet, allowing for relaxing on the terrace any time of the day. Nearby a secure bathing area for little kids, with a small sandy beach. We did some excursions to Sneek (a middle-sized town, ~25 minutes) and small villages at the shore of the ijsselmeer (eg. Stavoren, Hindeloopen, each ~25 minutes), which were each totally worth it. Super picturesque! and some nice restaurants, too. We can highly recommend renting Marco's place if you'd like to have a restful couple of days!

We are four young-at-heart grandmas who had a lovely few days. The place was great, supermarket and swimming pool nearby. The beach was also easily accessible. The island is beautiful. Easily explore everything by bike. The place was just right for us for this quieter season. We had a lot of fun and felt very comfortable there.

What a super cozy and cozy chalet. Very nicely decorated and a beautiful location by the water. Renting a sloop is a fantastic naturalness in Friesland, but we have also enjoyed the cycling routes and the crossing with the many ferries. I'd love to come back!!!

Very quiet area with some possibilities that are typical especially in North Holland such as exceptional tulip fields, boat tours, great agricultural area, lots of nature. Joke gave us tips and allowed us to have a nice time there. Thank you for that.

We had a very nice stay at the place. Very nice and straightforward contact, easy check-in and check-out. The chalet is located as shown in the pictures, right on the water. The location is top and very quiet. Still, everything you need is close by. We would come back.

What a great house this is. Nicely decorated, good kitchen and bathroom and a nice bed. Everything you could want is there. Made up beds, piles of towels and kitchen linens, very clean. It makes you feel very welcome as a guest.

We were allowed to enjoy the Afke mobile home for 2 nights in the autumn holidays. Very clean, wonderful mattresses. There are electric heaters in all rooms, it was wonderfully warm inside. The cottage is a 3-minute walk from the restaurant, snack bar, restaurant and supermarket. The campsite is also very neat. In the restaurant it is possible to paddle and bowling. The area is beautiful for walking and cycling. We had a good time! The large playground is challenging enough for our children aged 6 and 9. There is a shed where we could store our bikes dry. There are no cleaning products, but a bottle of dishwashing detergent. There are 2 coffee makers available, one for filter coffee and a Senseo, but there is no coffee available, so bring your own coffee and tea. It is possible to get coffee from the supermarket until 12:00. Upon entering, there were some goodies on the kitchen counter, we enjoyed it. In short, great!

Our stay at the boathouse in Lemmer was just amazing! The location right on the water was fantastic, and the house itself was perfectly equipped – there was nothing missing. Particularly noteworthy is the incredibly friendly host, who warmly welcomed us and made our stay an unforgettable experience. We felt comfortable from the beginning and were able to enjoy the week to the fullest. Everything was perfectly organized, clean and cozy. We highly recommend this special experience and would be happy to come back!

We had a lovely stay! It is a beautiful chalet and tastefully decorated. Everything is sparkling clean and fresh! With nice weather you can sit outside very comfortably. Highly recommended!!

A beautiful chalet, great for a short trip to the Netherlands 😊 Good amenities with all necessary kitchen utensils, wifi, TV, etc. Cozy and prepared with attention to the details, in a great harbor environment. The contact with Janne was always very friendly, fast and reliable. We would book the chalet again any time!

The welcome from the landlord was very warm. The small cozy house is very nice and quiet. We enjoyed the fantastic view over the harbor and canal into the distance very much. It was pleasantly quiet and the house is very well equipped. We also slept well, the bed was cozy. Autan is never wrong in the area, but the house is equipped with mosquito nets. The small but nice garden also pleased our dog very much. There are very nice places in the area. We would definitely come back.

Everything is great. Maybe you should deduct the entrance to the swimming pool from the arrival and departure day, since you won't go to the swimming pool anymore anyway.

We were only there for a weekend and the place was perfect for it. Everything very clean and cozy furnishings. The terrace was also very inviting, unfortunately we could not use it due to the rain. The landlord was super friendly and also very helpful with flexible arrival. All in all, we were very please. We will be happy to come back.

The chalet is great and very new. All cooking utensils were also available in the kitchen. We felt very comfortable and also the campsite was perfect for us (with a 5-year-old child). The communication with Dirk was super nice and straightforward. We would love to come back!

Owners are very kind and communicative. Whatever I needed they were always ready to help. Even due late booking they were able to make appartment ready within few hours. We enjoyed staying there and have no problem to come back again whenever we are around.

We had a wonderful stay here. The chalet is located at the beginning of the property and in the middle of the island. For us the perfect stay to see as much of the island as possible. Communication with the host was great. Everything went very easily. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely week with our 3rd children during the autumn holidays. In bad weather, a beautiful indoor playground awaits the children. In nice weather there are several playgrounds and a petting zoo :). In great weather, the lake and beach are waiting for you. ;) Aletta was always available for us and gave us good tips.
