We had an amazing stay at your cabin! It was the perfect secluded spot, and the breathtaking views made our Christmas week truly magical. The kids loved sledding on the property, giving us so many laughs and unforgettable memories. As Texans not used to icy roads, the entrance was a bit intimidating, but your clear directions helped. Having a 4WD vehicle (and snow tires if possible) is a must. The snowfall on Christmas evening was truly a dream come true! Be aware there’s no cell signal once you’re in town, about 10–15 minutes from the cabin, so save directions ahead of time. Thankfully, the WiFi at the house was excellent. Just a couple of small suggestions: the cabin could use a deep clean for things like chandeliers and fans, a new coffee maker would be great, and updated shower heads would enhance the experience. Overall, it was an unforgettable vacation for our family, and we can’t wait to visit again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space!

This house was a great size for two families to fit comfortably. It was in walking distance to the river, the park, and town plus an easy drive to Monarch Mountain. Great spot for spring break .... We would definitely book again!

Loved our stay! Excellent location, very spacious, and extremely clean. Appreciated the many little extras - board games, very well stocked kitchen, very nice towels, bath products, etc. The balconies were nice to sit and listen to the river. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you!

Micks place was amazing! The house was clean, comfortable and the views were absolutely beautiful. Waking up and having my coffee at the river every morning was my favorite part. We saw horses and donkeys and all sorts of different birds! Mick was very helpful with everything and communication was great. The restaurant right next door was delish and a 2 second walk! they have a cafe (our place cafe) for breakfast in the morning and restaurant/bar (Dusty rose) for later when you want a drink and some amazing food! I would definitely recommend staying at Micks place and will most definitely be coming back! ALSO all his pottery is absolutely gorgeous!

What a beautiful location! Plenty of room for a multi-family stay and super kid friendly. We were a bit concerned about the water situation, but it wasn't a big deal at all. Rebecca was super responsive and had wonderful recommendations. Really close to Monarch Moutain and hope we can come back and check it out in the summer!

William was an excellent host. He was very responsive and helpful. Dolly’s dream is in an excellent location, right on the river and within walking distance to downtown restaurants, shops, and local park. My family enjoyed walking on the large sidewalk along the river. The condo was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this condo and would stay here again!

What a wonderful and magical place. We immediately felt welcome, we loved the way it was decorated- and then the nature all-around - so so peaceful. We will definitely come back again. Really really lovely - and Jennifer was a great host.

Staying in a nice, well maintained, clean home near the center of Salida was wonderful. The house had everything we needed for a great stay. The kitchen has everything one would want or need, even a coffee bean grinder. I'm used to a small toaster oven but finally figured out how to turn on the standard one. We were two solo travelers, went for hikes and skied at Monarch Mtn 25 minutes away. i would highly recommend this property to 2 people or 2 couples. Enjoy

Tiny Cabin Retreat on 100 Acres w/Private Pond

Labor Day Weekend, last minute stay. Unit #3 is newly constructed, clean, with brand new furniture and mattresses. The little pond in front of the cabin was dry, which is to be expected at this time of year. First weekend of September weather was perfect: warm and breezy during day, cool nights, buzzing grasshoppers and aspen trees just starting to turn yellow. Lots of private acreage to explore with my dogs. There was another guest in the other cottages on site, but they're far enough away that you still have privacy. I'm grateful for the ability to clean it myself, to save on the cleaning fee. I made sure to leave it perfectly clean and washed. I suggest leaving a note about the electric candlelights - they must be turned to "on" to use the remotes. Then then work great! Thanks for the extra lighting. Thanks for the good instructions about the propane tank firepit - I was able to enjoy everything to the fullest. Will be returning. Thanks!

Great place for a large group - 6 adults, 3 kids and a dog. Plenty of space for us all to stretch out without being on top of each other. Space was clean and well equipped- with the exception of the game barn as lots of items were not working or missing parts. But this didn't bother us as it was a little too hot to stay outside. Would definitely come back!

The location could not be beat. Everything is walkable: biking, hiking, strolling, shopping, eating. We didn’t get in a car the whole time, and that’s amazing. The house is right by the river where all the action happens, though for me it might be too hectic in the height of summer with rafters, kayakers, tubers all right there. There are beds aplenty, the kitchen is pretty well stocked, and you will NOT lack for water pressure in the shower! I didn’t realize it was part of a duplex and another rental is attached, but we never heard the other folks at all. Tiniest drawback was the living/lounge area — if there are more than 6 of you that want to lounge & chat, several will need to perch on the very high stools at the island. All in all we absolutely loved it.
