You'll surely transend the bustle of busy life and be transformed as you immerse yourselves in this incredibly peaceful and healing environment. Enjoy 'full-circle' views of rich woods in our 250 Sq ft Octagon Tree Home with a gorgeous cedar tree going straight up through the center of the living space! A solid stairway travels 13 ft above the ground, leading to the 10' x 12' covered deck and your doorway to heavenly rest and retreat! Surround windows and skylights in the roof peak allow you to feel what it's like to be completely immersed in a beautiful, serene, healing forest of cedar, fir, hemlock, maple, alders, varieties of fern...and oh...enjoy watching and listening to our 'resident' deer, owls, ravens, eagles and many other birds. Look up through the skylight roof peak to behold a seemingly unending kaleidoscope view of tree limbs circling their trunks as they reach high in the sky. Be sure to see all the photos posted above including views of the beach, water and stunning sunsets over the Olympic Mountains.....easily accessible, less than 1/2 mile away. This gem is best suitable for adults, but we do allow children 12 and older too. Three adults can manage better than 4 because the hide-a-bed is a 'half-way-between-twin-and-double' size. However it has slats and an excellent quality foam mattress so it does not have the typical hide-a-bed 'bars' to contend with, nor does it sink in the middle. We provide single-sized, thick and dense foam pads and linens when needed for extra people. Please feel free to ask us how we can best meet your unique needs. Accommodations in the Tree House include: Queen Bed, "Sort of" Double Hide-a-bed Sofa (see paragraph above), Desk, Dining Table, Free Wi-Fi, Smart TV and DVD player. Duckless heatpump for heating and air. The electric 'Fireplace' adds warmth and ambiance. We provide a fridge (with freezer), microwave, dishes and silverware for prep and eating simple meals, warmed up left-overs, etc. We just don't allow 'cooking', using hot plates or fry pans, etc.... The fire pit may be used to enjoy a campfire and grill or roast hamburgers, hotdogs and marshmallows. Substantial cooking here with your own cooking equipment is not encouraged because that would require more extensive 'clean-up' than just a few dishes and utensils Our drain field is small and we want to keep the flow of gray water into it 'frugal' and biodegradable as much as possible. Your own private (and VERY cute) Shower House just a few footsteps away provides a shower, sink and state-of-the-art, no-odor composting toilet. We do have a porta-potty (marine type) on the deck of the Tree House for the middle-of-the-night needs so you don't have to trudge down in the dark to the composting toilet in the Shower House. Please read the house rules before you reserve to see if this type of accommodation is right for you.

Had a wonderful stay here! The view in the backyard is absolutely amazing and the house is large, clean, and comfortable with lots of open space. The yard was great for the dog to run around and play. The location was very convenient to get pretty much anywhere on the island. I do wish there was some better outdoor furniture as that is the biggest appeal to the house, but we brought some of our camping chairs which helped. Femi was very responsive and communicative. Overall amazing stay and would highly recommend!

5-Star Modern Rustic Beach Cabin on Useless Bay

Cozy, pleasantly rustic, not tourist-beach-kitsch cabin right on the beach, adjacent to a dog park. Minimalistic, but totally comfy, furnishings in the four rooms. Perfect size for a small family to gather and cook and play games inside, or beach comb just 25-50 yards out the back door. Our kids (12 & 9) and the dog spent hours exploring tide pools, building forts, digging up hunks of clay to make “dolls” out of, and they even tried to swim in between rain showers. From the living area, we watched a bald eagle soar overhead a blue heron while gulls dove headfirst for fish and robins pecked at worms in the yard. Two lil things to consider if staying: 1) if morning light bothers you, bring an eye mask; 2) the path from the back door to the beach requires some careful footwork to traverse an area of accumulated drift wood logs, but the parking lot is right next to the home with a clear, flat way to access the beach if mobility is a challenge.

We really enjoyed David’s house, which was clean, uncluttered, comfortable and beautiful, with beautiful views. David was very responsive with messages, and helpful with information about what might be happening in the area, and gave great suggestions for restaurants. Our vacation was even better than we’d planned because of David’s knowledgeable tips.

Great new home with walkable beach access. I think the view of the water is better than what the photos show! We saw several bald eagles and hawks hunting at sunset at Robinson beach - pretty amazing. Comfy beds and couches; overall a very well-appointed home. Would definitely stay again!

Anchor House was an absolute dream! Karen was incredibly kind and communicative during our stay. She even shared local traditions for us to join during New Year's. The home was as described and pictured and provided the best relaxation. While it was New Year's week, we got lucky with some beautiful sunsets, which we enjoyed on the rooftop deck. The place was wonderful and peaceful. I will be back in the warmer months!

Conor’s place is close to Langley (cute little seaside town), not too far from the ferry dock, minutes from Whidbey Island Distillery, a few minutes drive from an off-leash beach, not too far from another cute seaside town (Coupeville), close to the ferry to Port Townsend if you wanted to spend the day there. Plus his property has a nice trail right outside the front door for taking your dog out. It was a really nice stay!

Carey's home was a wonderful place for our kiddos and dog to stay for an extended weekend. The outdoors and balcony spaces were beautiful with a great view of the water. Kiddos and dog loved playing outside. The house is spacious, open, clean, and has tons of natural light. The laundry room in particular was huge and our dog was happy to stay in there at night. Their hot tub was a nice place for the adults to relax after a long day. The hosts are very accommodating and allowed us to have a different check in time which worked a lot better for our schedule. We were 10-15mins away from everything in South Whidbey. We enjoyed double Bluff beach for offleash dog fun and a sandy adventure for kiddos. We also loved to go to greenbank farm for more offleash trail time and playgrounds and swings and pies. We would love to stay here again!
