Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Franklin

I loved my stay here. Tanea's home was really clean, spacious, and felt homey. It was peaceful and easy to relax. I loved being able to sit on the porch and have coffee in the mornings and look out on the mountains and watch the animals. Tanea made sure that I would be able to have a comfortable temperature when I arrived and that I would be able to view TV. I appreciated her kindness and thoughtfulness. Her home is a short drive to downtown which made it easy to shop, dine, and sight see, but also far enough away to be relaxing. If I am in the area again, I will most likely stay here again, if it is an option. In some ways, her place sets a new standard for me when I search for accommodations in other areas. Thank you for your hospitality.

We had a great relaxing time at Greta's place. The place was roomy and had everything we needed. It was private and and surrounded by only the sound of nature up a beautiful mountain. The beds were comfy and we enjoyed roasting marshmallows by the campfire and sitting on the roomy outside deck under the dancing trees in the cool breeze. Greta was helpful and responsive. We had a wonderful time at this lake house. Plenty of room for my family of five to spread out and relax and such a beautiful setting. The house had everything we needed to just relax and spend time there. The kitchen was very well stocked with equipment. My sons loved fishing in the lake and we all enjoyed sitting around to bonfire at night. It was wonderful. Next time we will stay for longer!

this cottage is like something straight out of Anne of Green Gables! The upstairs rooms were all so cute. We slept with the windows open and listened to the creek at night. The fire bowl was great for s'mores and the setting was lovely. Celeste was very.yeasy to work with and I truly didn't want to leave

The cottage was very nice. It was clean and comfortable. We had many amenities, more than we expected. The neighborhood was quiet, and close to town. If we were ever to visit Franklin again, we would definitely stay at the Windmill Cottage.

We loved our stay here! The studio was just as advertised and easy to find. The kitchen was clean and had everything we needed to do our own cooking for the week. They provided enough soap and such for us to get started and we only really had to bring more toilet paper. Otherwise everything was there that we needed. We loved the games that they had there for us to use and the snacks were perfect too. We will definitely be looking at staying here again.

This cute little downstairs apartment was perfect for our anniversary trip! It’s a great space for two people to relax and enjoy each other’s company. We spent our mornings on the porch swing drinking coffee and at night would head into town to eat at the recommended restaurants. The place was cute, homey, and had amazing views of the mountains!

We were in town for a wedding and traveling 7.5 hours to get there the stay was absolutely amazing! It rained while we were there on Friday but we enjoined sitting on the porch with blankets listening to the rain fall on the tin roof! We enjoyed watching the neighbors horses that would come to the fence to visit and we enjoyed watching the chickens beside the house ( don’t worry they are all quiet as well). We ended up being a party of three traveling with a 14 year old boy who never once said he was bored he spent his time on the swings outside and petting the horses! I highly recommend this place it is close to town, nice quiet location, easy driveway, no steps to climb and peaceful! The House is very clean, beds are comfy even the couch bed sleeps well per the 14 year old. The Host is very friendly and made sure we had absolutely everything that we needed! The home is stocked with all the things we needed and was the perfect size! Thank you for having us! Martha, Natalie, Nathan

Maggie and Mike are wonderful, responsive, and attentive hosts! They made us feel so welcomed and were very helpful with recommendations for hiking and sightseeing in the area. Meeting them was such an added bonus to a great stay. The apartment was just as described and met all of our expectations. The property is gorgeous and so very peaceful and the view is stunning. We are very glad we stayed here and would like to come again.

We loved staying at Lara’s. Because of rainy weekend, the mountains were especially lush and foggy creating almost magical misty atmosphere. We were able to build a fire every night. Kitchen was perfectly stocked with nice scratch free pots/pans. Lots of nature and little towns to explore nearby. Thank you Lara - we would love to come back!

We had a wonderful family time at Parker’s cabin. Has everything you may need to enjoy your time in the secluded woods of NC. Very private but with all the amenities you may need. Internet was good and the place very comfortable. It was quite rainy during our stay but we had no issues staying in and enjoying the hot tub from time to time. Would fully recommend this place to any one. Thank you Parker!

We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. Location was great and the deck over the river's edge was wonderful. Only suggestion we would have is a vacuum for the cabin versus just a broom. Rate was great and we will be back.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin in the woods. The location was perfect—very private and peaceful, surrounded by nature. One of the highlights of our trip was watching the fireflies light up the forest at night—absolutely magical! The cabin itself was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Graham and Linda were fantastic hosts—communication was clear, thoughtful, and timely from start to finish. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a serene retreat in the mountains. We’d love to come back!

This is our 4th year in a row staying at the cabin while attending the Franklin Rock & Gem Shows. We love the place and the host, Patty, is great at communicating. We do our best to leave an AirBNB in as good of condition, if not better, when checking out as we treat it like our home away from home. Scenic location and remodeled cabin. Hopefully it will be available next year. Rock on!

Me and my husband searched for the perfect romantic getaway for our late honeymoon/ 1 year anniversary. When we came across Knotty But Nice we were sold! The view was immaculate, pictures do not do justice. The house was extremely clean and cozy. The hot tub was clean and so relaxing. Overall peaceful and private! The drive up was pretty scary the first time, I’m definitely glad that we had an SUV! But 10/10 recommend! We are already planning another trip in the fall. Thanks Dana & Trish! 😊

We stayed at the cabin for a week in May, to ride around on motorcycle and do some white water rafting. The view from both floors of the cabin was picturesque. Water gets hot quick and has good pressure, kitchen has everything you need. Great WiFi and smart tv to watch anything. Hot tub on deck is excellent after a long day of activities in the mountains. Driveway in community and up to cabin is beautiful, however steep and challenging on a motorcycle - but doable. Highly recommend this cabin, super private and secluded. About a 20 minutes to and from nearest town/restaurants, but that’s the beauty of it. Highly recommend, Casey is great and so is cabin.

The house was beautiful. Exactly as described. Jen and Jason were super helpful and accommodating. Due to a storm there was a loss of power and Jen and Jason were helpful about what to do and how to remedy the situation.

Awesome cabin in the woods. Very peaceful and relaxing among beautiful surroundings. Just outside Nantahala National Forest and close to the Smoky Mountains. Fantastic trout fishing nearby!
