Windmill vacation rentals in France

Jean Marcel is an excellent host, a great welcome. The night at the mill is a unique experience, to be redone!

This is a unique location that has been very well converted into accommodation. We stayed as a couple though there was enough room for more, as long as everyone can cope with the steps up to the bedrooms. When we saw the view of Pont du Gard advertised, we assumed that was what you got after a hike to a viewing point, but no that's when you're sitting at the plunge pool every night, drinking in the warm evening air and watching the light show on the aqueduct. Castillon du Gard is less than ten minutes walk away has a good few options for lunch or dinner, as well as for ice cream and a boulangerie as long as you get hold of the opening hours - Guillaume will help. There are also supermarkets less than ten minutes drive away, and cooking is possible with the equipment in the house (though maybe more tricky for groups larger than two!). He is a very welcoming and flexible host who was happy to turn up when we suggested for both check in and check out. We definitely hope to return to the windmill for more holidays in the future!

Beautiful extremely well restored mill in an idyllic setting! Beautiful antique furniture, unoverlooked 360 degrees. Absolute calm. Large, private grounds. Two small downsides though. One of the two double beds is very short and narrow , may be suitable for 2 young children or 1 adult, but surely not 2 adults. And the second thing is the very strong sulfur smell in the water that smells a lot of rotten eggs. We didn't drink it personally.

Ah, this mill! What more can be said that hasn't already been praised by those who've stayed there? Their enthusiasm overflows the pages of the guestbook: comfort, originality, tranquility, location. All this is true, I do not deny it. But what I would like to tell you about is the soul of this place, the special breath that its owners have breathed into it. It's not just a restored mill, a picturesque retreat; no, it's so much more. It is a rebirth, which Véronique and Hubrecht share with a discreet pride. In their eyes, you can see all the love they have devoted to this place, so that their guests can, for a few days, touch this magic. The Lartigue Mill is not just a place to stay, it is a meeting, a story. Through the old stones, you can almost hear the murmur of the past. And if you are sensitive to this poetry of places, you have found much more than a place to stay. You have found the pearl.

My Husband and I stayed in the Windmill for our honeymoon and it was absolutely magical. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. the home itself is super well equipped with everything you need. It is decorated so lovely, makes you feel right at home. Michel who greeted us at check in was lovely and very informative. Julie was also extremely polite to communicate with. We had a great time at Erwan's! An absolute highlight of our trip. The mill is exceptional and Erwan is great. We would mist definitely visit again. Next #time we'll come when the weather is good!
