Marathon is a quaint west Texas town with a public park, gardens, restaurants and shopping. It also has a level 1 night sky rating for star gazing. Located 40 minutes from Big Bend National Park entrance, this is a launch point to explore the national park and other parks and communities.

A well-maintained guesthouse with the feel of the Old West. Located far enough out of Alpine to give you a rural feel, but just minutes from downtown, the guesthouse is 30 feet from our house. We are very respectful of your privacy, and all of the facilities are yours to use. Sit out on the large covered porch and enjoy the view, or visit with our livestock. We are pet-friendly. Relax around the fire pit, or soak in the hot tub while watching the sky for shooting stars and satellites.

Stone Cottage @ La Loma del Chivo (The Goat Hill)

This structure is part of an overall experimental building project we have had going for 15 years. There are other structures on the property made from recycled materials including 'papercrete.' Free dust: it is the desert. You should not expect the Ritz Carlton, but if you have some flexibility and half a 'hippie bone' left in your body, this might be the place for you to expand. Come see us, share some travel stories and relax under and amazing milky way. No TV's in the room.

Art-Filled Marfa Adobe

Located at the western edge of Marfa, this cozy, unique adobe offers a true Marfa experience, and the best isolation and comfort for you. The house is air conditioned and heated, has wifi and a smart TV. There is one bedroom downstairs with a comfy queen sized bed and one loft bedroom upstairs with a queen sized bed and fun views. Located within walking distance to SRSU, restaurants, shops and more. Keyless entry. Pet friendly - $20 flat fee per pet (max 2 pets).

The Little House

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. Charming and quiet private backyard casita offers full size appliances and washer/dryer in the unit. Self care is spa-like in the extra large, clean bathroom. Sleep comes easy in the cozy king size bed. If you need extra bed space, the couch makes an additional full size bed. We can’t wait for you to experience this sweet little home away from home.
