There are not enough words to describe how beautiful, scenic, and quiet this place was. John was extremely communicative and responded quickly to any questions I had. The directions and instructions were helpful and clear. The home is tucked away from the center of town which made it so relaxing. The home has a woodsy modern home feel to it that is just incredible. The decor and furniture was comfortable and stylish. The hot tub was so nice and relaxing. It felt like you were in the middle of the woods. The home has everything you could possibly need when visiting Idyllwild. I had the perfect getaway here.

Jill’s Wander Wild cabin was everything we were hoping for and more. It was fully stocked, and quiet and only minutes from town. The hot tub was wonderful, the bed was comfy and we absolutely loved listening to nature on the deck and drinking coffee in the mornings. We did a puzzle, listened to some music and just enjoyed the surroundings while we fell in love with the town. We will certainly be back if she’ll have us!

Fantastic getaway in the mountains, next to a babbling brook, with everything you could want. Just a quick trip down to the village but far enough away that it was super quiet. I'd been dreaming of an A frame with giant windows and a patio overlooking the trees and this was exactly it. That, plus the bonus of a cozy place to watch movies and hang out inside. It was my first trip to Idyllwild and I hope to come back again to stay here.

From start to finish we really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The cabin was beautiful and well maintained. We felt right at home, safe and comfortable. The location was great and walkable to the lake. The fire pit, jacuzzi and kayaks were a wonderful addition. Jack and Adam were very responsive and sweet. We would happily stay here again. It was perfect! 😊

great little cabin right up against the tree-line to the San Bernardino National forest. great cabin for a small family. provided a lot of peace and quiet. the cabin is well cared for and the instructions for maintaining it were clear and reasonable. all of the amenities are well cared for and in perfect working order. very friendly and responsive hosts.

This is our 3rd or 4th time here- we just love this Airbnb, truly our favorite! Our doodles have such a big enclosed yard to play- with trees and lots of wildlife all around us. And the prefect view of the Tahquitz rock too! I don’t even look for other Airbnbs anymore in Idyllwild- I just message Ariya and book☺️. The home is always clean with everything we need for cooking and relaxing. I always appreciate the assorted teas from their store as well. This time, we made sure we took advantage of the hot tub after a hike and a run. The bathrobes are always appreciated and even helpful when it got a little chilly at night. Ernie Maxwell trail is just over a mile from the house and my big dog and I hiked/ran there twice- such a beautiful place to take your dog(s). Ariya and Marc are such perfect hosts- always communicating and ensuring we are enjoying our stay. I also appreciated it when Ariya messaged me that I could check in early. Thanks again Ariya! Gorgeous views and surroundings. Kitchen is well stocked with high quality cooking supplies/pots/pans. Using the hot tub with the beautiful view was a dream. Waking up in the middle of the forest with birds singing was lovely. The hosts were wonderful - very responsive and kind.

This was my second time staying at Anastasia and Milen’s awesome mountain retreat. I adored their comfy, relaxing cabin, especially the outdoor deck which provides incredible sunset views and extraordinary birding opportunities. I can’t wait to return! Anastasia and Milen get my highest recommendation!

Absolutely beautiful cabin in Idyllwild, the furnishings and decor were so cool, the bathrooms were modern with lovely showers, kitchen was well stocked and the deck was such a lovely place to enjoy a drink in the evenings. Would absolutely stay here again! 20 minute walk into town with some restaurants even closer, parking in the drive was easy and close to beautiful trails. Thanks so much for an unforgettable stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Black Rock Cabin! The place is nice, private, and has a beautiful view. The host was incredibly responsive and friendly, making us feel right at home. It’s in a perfect location with easy access to both Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear. We also appreciated that it’s dog-friendly, which made our trip even better. The cozy atmosphere made it hard to leave we were truly sad to go. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful weekend stay at this beautiful home! The house was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed to accommodate our entire family comfortably. It gave us that cozy “feel right at home” vibe we were looking for. One of the highlights was the fun game room. It kept both the kids and adults entertained all weekend. We spent the weekend celebrating my baby’s first birthday and the house was equipped with everything we needed for her. Hany is a wonderful host and was incredibly friendly and welcoming, providing us with helpful recommendations on local restaurants and activities. Their attention to detail and thoughtful communication made our stay smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. We would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

I absolutely loved my stay at the cabin! The space was serene, stylish and thoughtfully curated which was just the kind of energy I needed. Everything aligned with rest and restoration! The place was spotless, the bed was super comfy, and the outdoor space was a beautiful bonus. I appreciated the attention to detail and clear communication.

This was hands down the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. In fact, staying here in this beautiful home and amazing location, it has influenced my boyfriend and I to start our journey with owning an Airbnb! I can’t say enough good things about this place! I can’t say enough good things about this place! If you’re on the fence, DO IT! The lake is a 2 min walk from the house and it is gorgeous. Allie provides all the fun things you’d need to have a great day on the lake. The home is super clean, decorated beautifully, and had everything we needed. My favorite part was sitting out on the deck with the string lights on during sunset. Beds are amazingly comfortable, and it just felt like we were right at home. Highly recommend staying here, you’ll never want to leave!

Perfect Magical Views. Could not pick up my book as the views kept captivating me. Perfectly private and remote yet only an 8 minute drive into town. Mary & May are the perfect Hosts. You can see their passion for this Cabin with all the details in every corner of this Beautiful Cabin. The cleanliness is remarkable. Areas were spacious and comfortable and cozy at the same time. We saw sun set and moon rise . Although it was a bit overcast we still saw some stars above us. Just Magical. A true Cabin in the sky. Lots of wildlife entertained us the entire stay. Mom and I surely felt at home and will return and recommend this Beautiful Retreat to family and friends. Thank you Mary for making us feel so special in your Cabin in the sky.

Shayne was a pleasure to deal and communicate with. It was our 2nd visit and we love the quiet neighborhood, the home’s convenient location to the Village and of course the lake view.

AMAZING home!! Felt like ours, made us dream of living in Forest Falls, in fact we started looking at the listings but NOTHING compared to this cabin. We cant wait to stay again. Well stocked kitchen! We usually bring our own mixing bowls, salt/pepper/oil and a knife but we didn’t have to use them. They even brought new coffee when we ran out (without asking)!! Loved the first floor bedroom, for our less mobile friends. The two bedrooms downstairs were well equipped, even though we only used one for our work meetings. The loft has the best views (a little warm in the evening after a hot day but open the windows and turn on the fan and it cools off nicely). Beds and sheets were so comfy! The WiFi! The WiFi was great! If you want an escape, but to still be a little connected, this is THE place for you! Four of us worked, fully connected, no issues. Verizon has cell service, AT&T does not, I was NOT complaining. What are you waiting for?! Book this place before we do!

Looked exactly like the pictures, was a lovely and cute cabin! It was close by to shops, restaurants, etc. but far away enough to still have some privacy and quiet. Would definitely recommend!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Samantha’s cottage. So clean and comfortable that we felt right at home. All the little details made the stay extra special. We will definitely be going back again.

Simply put, a great value considering a private residence in the mountains and not a motel. Neighborhood is small and off the highway so you don’t hear any traffic. Lots to do/see: Look up Cold Creek Falls, a waterfall literally 2-3 mins away. Also, the neighborhood road ‘Mountain Home Creek Road’ turns into a 6-mile trail with multiple creek crossings that would take you all the way down near Forest Falls. Forest Falls is 15 mins away and great spot to sit by the creek/river (on Hwy 38 there’s plenty of free roadside parking) or there’s a few trailheads. And Oak Glen is 30 mins away. Cons of the place: 1. lighting (both natural/window light and light fixtures) was a little dimmer than expected 2. The back porch is being fixed up so couldn’t use that area. I imagine it will be great when completed! 3. On one of two nights there was a dog barking for a several hours, and neighborhood dogs were annoying, but I’m personally more sound sensitive and don’t like dogs.

We had a great time here. The views are even more stunning in person and if you’re looking for a relaxing, quiet time foraway from the city then this is the perfect place. We loved the modern check-in and check-out process.

Exceeded my expectations, which were high from the photos. Gorgeous views no matter where you look or go, inside or outside the cabin. I downloaded maps/directions for offline use and with the photos and instructions given had no problems finding the road and cabin. Personally I appreciated the lack of reception & TV. Didn’t have issues waking up through the night or with mice in general, as others have reported. I did keep all food inside the fridge and cleaned up after every meal, so maybe just don’t leave crumbs/food out. Would love to come back, just perfectly fit what we wanted in every way.
