Monthly Rentals in Foolow

A fabulous stay! A lovely, beautifully decorated, cosy cottage. Louise was a great host and provided all the information that we needed. There were plenty of walks from the front door and the village had a wonderful pub for dinner. We will be back!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Fern Cottage! It was the perfect base to explore the Peaks - the cottage is so cosy and comfortable, and we loved reading on the sofa by the fire after a day walking. The bed was incredibly comfy, and the bathroom was beautiful with a shower that was always hot! The kitchen was well equipped, with a microwave, oven, and induction job, so we were able to cook for ourselves very happily on a number of nights. So many beautiful places are a maximum of 20 mins away - we particularly enjoyed Chatsworth, Baslow and Curbar Edge, Eyam, Hathersage lido and Ladybower reservoir. Can also highly recommend the Bull's Head in Foolow! Thank you so much Traci - we would love to come back.

The Barn was fantastic! The bed was comfortable, and it was in an excellent location (I recommend walking through Cressbrook Dale on a sunny day). Nell was super helpful with messages, and her husband was super kind and polite. It's great to stay in all day if it's rainy (the Roku box worked a treat). The kitchen feels a bit small, but it can’t be helped with the space given and works well for just one cook. Overall, I loved it and would stay again.

We had a lovely stay at Tams shepherds Hut. The location was easy to find with clear directions. Upon arrival we were greeted and made to feel welcome immediately. The surroundings are very peaceful and picturesque for a perfect getaway from busy lives. The added bonus of viewing the new born lambs only a day or two old with their mothers was a special treat (so cute). We had our own private garden which was pleasant to enjoy the fortunate good weather. The views are incredible also. The shepherds hut was a lovely stay. Everything is there that you could need and lovely and clean. The bed was so comfy and waking up to the animals and peace and quiet was amazing. Would highly recommend for a break from busy lives with a bit of nature and peace and quiet. We will definitely visit again and than you Tam for being so accommodating xx
