Monthly Rentals in Finsthwaite

This was a lovely place to stay for 2 nights while we attended a wedding in the area. We brought our dog with us. Towels and biscuits were supplièd for her. The place was very comfortable and spotless clean with lots of little touches left for us lovely Biscuits etc. Tea coffee milk and chocolate bunnies. It was finished to a high standard. Amy was very friendly, although we didn't see a lot of her as we were out most of the time. We wouldn't hesitate to book this place again. Thanks again Amy and Family. Andrea and Brian and Darcey.

The LOVEDAY cottage was an ideal getaway for us and our dog. It’s incredibly homely, and the spa-like bath adds a touch of luxury. The cottage had everything we needed, plus some thoughtful touches. The hosts were incredibly generous, leaving us with brownies, a chocolate Easter egg, milk and Prosecco. We had a peaceful and enjoyable Easter weekend here. National Trust Fell Foot Park is just a 5-minute walk away, and there are several easy hikes right on the doorstep, including Gummer’s Howe and Stavely Fell. The hosts highly recommended the delicious Sunday roast at the Mason Arms (a 10-minute drive). It has a lovely terrace with stunning views to enjoy in the sunshine. The cottage was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Our entire stay was flawless. We would highly recommend LOVEDAY cottage and would definitely return.

A roomy, well-designed and nicely furnished cottage. Absolutely immaculate. Beautiful, quiet location, and a good base for exploring around Coniston and Windermere lakes. Glen is a very friendly and helpful host. We'd like to go back.

Lovely little cottage - walks from the door step and just a 15 min car ride to local towns for a walk round and food. There is restaurants and cafes closer (about 1 mile) but we liked to pop into the town for a look round - would definitely look at staying here in the future it’s a good base to explore the lakes
