Julia’s place is a lovely find, so nice and quiet in beautiful surroundings. The apartment was plenty big enough for 4 of us using the sofa bed. Nice and clean with a well equipped kitchen. Julia was great at communicating all throughout and was very accommodating when we had to change dates. We will definitely be back again when we next visit family in the area.

Great location for arriving by train and exploring the village/town. Everything/everywhere so handy. Clean, cosy house with lovely, comfortable bedrooms. Lauren was a helpful and responsive host. We had a lovely stay. Have been singing the delights of Wivenhoe since have got back and intend to return.

Siri’s apartment had everything anyone could need, including the kitchen sink! It was spotlessly clean and there were cereals, fruit, teas, coffee and hot chocolate available. It was really quiet and had a lovely shower. I couldn’t fault it.

A comfortable apartment on the river of old Wivenhoe. Charlie and Emma are very friendly and welcoming. Note that river views are from the private bench outside and not really from inside. A spacious sunny kitchen has an air fryer, microwave and hob in place of an oven. Hope to be back as the atmosphere on the quay is wonderful and there is easy walking along the river from the door. Wivenhoe is a small bohemian village with cafes and pubs, but also rail access and good roads to nearby towns or the seaside.
