We had an absolutely great weekend at Seashells. As a three-generation family group, the house was perfect for us. Diane was very responsive and helpful. Before we even left we booked to go again next year! Great for families - location, layout, amenities, comfort!

Very relaxing and peaceful. A home from home close to the beach and local amenities. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Thomas was a very approachable host and was very quick to respond positively when we requested to check in early.

Stayed over the Easter bank holiday weekend, great pre arrival instructions and local recommendations were really helpful. Easy to find, park and access the property. Everything inside was immaculate and in good order. Whitby centre easily walkable. No hesitation in recommending to others.

Lovely weekend away in Sandsend. A beautiful holiday home just a 2 minute walk to the beach. Nice and private, plenty of parking, would recommend.

lovely old cottage ideally situated next to the sea, so perfect just to leave the car parked up and walk over to the beach. The cottage itself was very spacious,with a large lounge, two large main bedrooms with one extra bedroom above. The kitchen/ dining area was ample enough and contained all we needed, as were the two separate bathrooms for each of the main bedrooms. The beds were extremely comfortable and there was no skimping on the quality of the bed linen and pillows. We certainly give this lovely old cottage a 100% thumbs up and would totally recommend it to all!

I went away with my sisters and 2 friends for my Birthday weekend , we had such a wonderful time and this was definitely to do with where we stayed. The house is quirky , spacious and absolutely beautiful. I felt so at peace as soon as I walked in. There is a car park so close by with reasonable rates and so much on the doorstep. Camilla is an attentive and friendly host who was quick to offer recommendations of places to visit and to check in with us during our stay. Definitely book here it’s a wonderful place to stay.

We loved staying in The Haven. The location is literally a few yards from the beach, as well as the small number of shops, cafés and pubs. The house was spotless when we arrived and has bundles of character. It also had all the facilities we needed. Gordon was so friendly and helpful, from the moment I booked right through to telling us the cottage was ready for us to check in earlier than usual. For a family of four I can’t recommend The Haven enough.

Great place to stay with beautiful view and a great space outside for the kids to play

Lovely comfortable and clean house. Great location for the beach and to get around the local area. The kids enjoyed the board games, bucket and spades and playing with other children on the site. We enjoyed a walk along the beach into Filey which was nice. The house was lovely and warm and cosy. Also liked the fact there were plenty of hangers and space to store out stuff! We struggled to use the swimming pool on site because it was so busy with it being Easter holidays and the weather being bad. This is obviously no reflection on the accommodation itself but our kids were a bit disappointed as that’s one of the reasons we booked the place. Just worth bearing in mind if visiting in school hols - best to go early morning.

Fantastic stay at Seaspray. Richard sent very helpful instructions before we arrived, not only detailing the check in and how to find the property, but everything we could have needed to make us feel at home. The home was beautiful and we were always warm. The weather turned up for us so we were able to make use of the great location for walls and the sea. You are very close to Filey and with Scarborough and Bridlington only slightly further, so we fit in all 3. We will be coming back. Wonderful state would definitely recommend

Lovely, cozy little place in a nice, peaceful location with convenient walking access to Whitby via the Cinder Trail, and a very short drive from local Supermarket. We appreciated the pool. We also enjoyed ducks wandering around the site, and hearing the hoot of an owl in the evening.

The house was airy and very spacious with many hours spent enjoying the most AMAZING views, especially from the lounge. Split across 3 floors we certainly got our steps in during the week. Much thought has gone into the interior design whilst keeping many features of this old coastguard house which is situated on probably the most historic street in Filey. The beds were super comfy and the whole house was spotlessly clean on arrival. We were familiar with the area but it was great to be based just a short stroll from the beach and local amenities with many lovely independent shops and restaurants. Can recommend fish and chips from Dicky Bees, just a 2 min walk from house. Helen was a great host and provides all the information you required in advance of the stay, super helpful knowing you didn't need to take cleaning products or bin bags. Everything you needed was there - even down to the coffee capsules for the coffee machine which was a nice treat. Would highly recommend!

great mattresses and pillows. sofa in living room really comfy. nice lay out terrible shower, couldn't rinse shampoo out, had to flush both toilets twice, needed a few more cutlery and crockery

The place was exactly what we were looking for and is a great base to explore Whitby, close enough to be convenient but also far enough away to be able to retreat from the crowds. The setting is very unique beneath the arches of the viaduct and it is very peaceful and relaxing.

Perfect location, right in the heart of Filey and 2minutes from the beach. The place is down a private drive so you're in the main town but also have privacy and it's quieter. The place was clean, cozy, and bigger than expected. The host messaged over everything we needed beforehand and checked in on us during our stay to make sure all was ok. Will definitely be booking again!

My wife and I along with our dog have just spent 2 nights in Hornsea at Julie’s property. This is a lovely home and Julie has to be commended for attention to detail and how spotlessly clean it is. So kind of you Julie to provide items such as wine , beer , milk and breakfast pastries. I would highly recommend this home for people to stay in and use as a base to explore Hornsea and the wider area. If you like beach walking Fraisthorpe beach which was recommended to us by Julie is superb, miles of sandy beach with no dog restrictions. Thanks again Julie for all of your help , nothing was ever too much trouble. First class all round !!

We had a great time here in Whitby. The house is huge and well equipped and we had plenty of space for our group of 12. We appreciated being able to explore by foot as the house is within walking distance of the station, the town and the beach. Would love to return and stay a bit longer!

beautiful place! spent a few nights here, felt right at home in the cozy living room and the spacious kitchen was a really nice change of pace from what I'm used to. felt very safe walking round the area too - great location, super convenient and aesthetically pleasing. hall & landing lights are quite dim as mentioned in another review, but not a huge issue if you have a phone flashlight. beds were comfortable and bedrooms themselves very spacious but didn't feel barren. lots of friendly neighbourhood cats dropping daily visits helped to ease the homesick a little of missing my own :) can easily recommend this stay! one thing to bare in mind is stairs up to 3rd floor bedrooms are quite steep and narrow with a fairly low bannister, to be expected from house of this style & age but as there is very little space outside bedroom doors these could be problematic for those with mobility/coordination issues - we didn't have any issues ourselves, but may not be super accessible to everyone.

what a great place to hold our first family reunion. our host Victoria was very accommodating with respect to change of check in time and always responded quickly to questions. The property was ideally placed for walking round the local area and there is so much to do within a short drive. The train station was within walking distance for our party members who don't drive so no problem for them. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience with Victorias place. Top Marks.
