I liked this apartment last year so I stayed again for two months. Spacious, nicely decorated top floor flat with access to the roof terrace. Very quite building in the best location in Balat. Easy, short walk to buses and the ferry station. Everything works in the apartment and the marble Turkish bath is luxurious. I especially like the neighborhood because in the immediate area, near the apartment, normal, local people reside. You can experience Turkish culture instead of being in a tourist area. A few blocks away are restaurant, bakeries, grocery stores, etc. Overall, I highly recommend the apartment, the neighborhood and the host. All are superb!

A very charming area, lots to explore right outside the door. Cute cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Easy to get to other areas of Istanbul, boats and tram are nearby (10 minutes walk). Gorgeous view from the room which was clean and comfortable. Always responsive host. We were multiple times invited for tea and coffee in the kitchen upstairs.

Very nice very clean studio well located 4 minutes walk from the tram that leads everywhere, Mert very responsive for any questions; the studio is well protected, easy to access on arrival for keys, and if something Mert is missing it on request! We saw a beautiful Istanbul under the snow, in February, without too many tourists, and the stay was really great, off the beaten track, a lot on foot , by tram, with the rechargeable map, by ferry.., we'll be back!

We really spent 25 days like the photos the very clean spacious comfortable apartment the panoramic view of the 16th floor extraordinary has everything you need for the secure building with reception H24 the chic place there are 3 supermarkets restaurants cafeteria at the bottom of the building full of green space and leisure for children even fitness means of transport nearby. Host Khaled always available very responsive kind 🥰 1 billion /100 recommended ❤️

Mr. Furkan is a well-intentioned friend. He answered every question with patience, as if he was like a friend I had known for years. Your home was nice and calm. In addition to being calm, the transportation was very convenient. There was only a little slope, but there are already seven hills in most places in Istanbul. Thank you Furkan friend.

Nice location of the house. Very close to Istiklal Street. Only roads are a little hilly. The house is a beautiful, old building. But it's loud because it's right next to the school. May not be good for those who prefer to sleep in the morning. Overall, it was clean, but there was an occasional strong smell of cigarettes in the room. It was a tastefully furnished, small but useful house. Thank you

We loved this apartment as it was clean, modern and beautiful. Big windows! Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom/shower! Kind and responsive host, Mert helped to make everything go smoothly. The location is the best out of three areas we stayed in the city —- surprisingly very near to the water and tram stations and many restaurants. Easy to get to the attractions including the famous mosques and the well known markets.

the place is fairly enough good , wasnt really calm there was a dog that kept parking right below the windows day and night it was irritating ( the dog is constantly there ) also the apartments so close to each other so u could hear neighbors doors close and open and such .. the place was clean and the view of the windows is really cute , very easy check in and out , very responsive when we needed help, the location isnt really good .

My husband and I stayed at Özlem and her partner’s place for more than one month! For us it was the first trip experience in the role of the Airbnb guest and this experience is, I can say, magnificent and amazing and absolutely met our expectations! The apartment was completely the same with the description and the photos! The apartment was totally clean, towels, bathrobes, cooking stuff, beautiful pillows, iron, pans, plates etc ( actually everything that you need for the most comfortable staying) were prepared for us in a timely manner. Also the sweets and fruits were kindly served when we checked in! Enjoyed a lot! Also, can’t help saying a few words about the view ! From your apartment balcony you will see the typical Balat, one of the ancient and historical places of Istanbul and many tourists who come here to take the photo with the beautiful colourful buildings, and from the terrace there will be the view of Golden Horn , which will totally amaze your imagination! Our love with Istanbul and its rich history started from this place and we will never regret and forget this experience! Özlem and her partner are the best hosts ever with a big heart! This place is highly recommended as the best start to get acquainted with Istanbul history where you will be able to stay like at home exploring many places around! Many churches, places worth visiting, restaurants, cafes! Breakfast in Velvet is the best , also check the Pianto to try amazing coffee ! (5 mins walk from the apartment)! Every Tuesday there is a local market with fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese , meat and fish close to home! When checked out due to the traffic jams etc we weren’t be able to take a taxi or book from Uber, so Ozlem’s partner took for us the taxi from the street ! Thank you a lot for your big hospitality and perfect thoughts and attitude to your guest ! Always in our hearts ! This apartment is the soul of Balat! ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Thank you very much indeed ! the location was in a great place, many means of transportation were just as easy to find the house at your fingertips, and 5 minutes walking distance from the lantern bus station or tram, there were sounds outside because the building was old, but it will not be tolerable, the house is right behind the busy street, so it was very safe, the house was very sweet and peaceful, I can stay here without thinking next time

Very great houseing experience, even the price is affordable but the service is definitely super. Kadir is a kind and friendly host, he helped us moving the luggage both on our way of check-in and check-out, he even helped me translating while talking with the local taxi driver. The house is absolutely amazing, exactly the same according to the photos, nice and clean, and it’s great to taking pictures while suns out. Balat is also my fav district in Istanbul, almost all the rum churches in Istanbul are in walkable distance. And if u wanna visit downtown, the T5 tram train station is only 5 mins away from the door step, everything is convenient. I’m glad that we booked this gorgeous place, if we had chance coming back to Istanbul, this place would definitely be our first choice on the list.
