D Tina is extremely friendly, a wonderful soul! Always concerned about our well-being, it was as if we were at home. Wonderful space, quiet, very private and easy to access. Excellent choice for recharging batteries in the middle of nature.

Had a lovely few days here. The home is super clean and very well equipped. Lots of fascinating photos and things in the house that tell of its history...its actually much nicer than the photos Located on the main square of a small Alentejo village, it is quiet and peaceful. The church bells mentioned by other posters didnt bother us at all. We were welcomed with a basket of gorgeous fresh eggs, tomatoes and peppers. Our dogs enjoyed the securely fenced yard Thanks for a lovely stay

This location is perfect if you want to drive and spend a few days exploring the Alentejo. Multiple towns are nearby. Evora is a great all day trip, including the megaliths outside of town, and you get to leave all the guided groups behind. Elvas is a wonderful town very near the border with Spain. Villa Real is a gem. Arraiolos is known for weaving rugs. Evoramonte is close by and has terrific views. All of these towns are hilltop towns with castles. The regional wine is terrific, the cork industry is fascinating, the olives, oranges, and lemons, are great, and you are in the middle of the area of marble quarrying. The towns are predominantly full of white buildings with mustard or blue trim and lot and lots of marble. Fica’s place is comfortable, quiet, and has restaurants, bakeries, drugstores, and small shops just steps away.

A house with everything for a perfect vacation: easy parking, fully-equipped kitchen, small back-yard, heating, A/C, comfy beds. Would certainly stay again if in the area.
