Family-friendly vacation rentals in Erie Canal

This place was beautiful! The cabin was so cute and cozy and extremely clean! All of the decorations, furniture, blankets, etc made it the perfect place for our wintry weekend getaway. We did some snowshoeing around the property and had so much fun! Then we got to come back and relax in the hot tub on the porch and watch the snow fall. If you’re looking for a place to be able to disconnect and just have a peaceful vacation, this is the place! Thank you Chris for sharing this spot with everyone! We would love to come back in the summer to explore some of the area lakes!

This place is beautiful! Didn’t even need to leave - so much to do, a beautiful view and a perfect kitchen for cooking at home.

Location. Comfort. Price. All wrapped up in one. Had a nice, relaxing stay while visiting son at SUNY. A great choice for a weekend stay instead of the local hotels.

We stayed at Beth’s place in April. The place did not disappoint!! Beth thought of everything!! Our 20 yr old granddaughter stayed in the apartment. Absolutely great space. The view was stunning!! The place was extremely clean throughout. All the rooms are set up to relax and enjoy!! The basement was a wonderland for the kiddos. Every toy, game, and wide open space to play. It was a delightful stay.

Outstanding property. Descriptions and photos matched actual home. Jim and Carol were very responsive and made the checking process simple. Accommodated our request for an early checkin. Property is very high end. Gourmet kitchen with every appliance and accessory needed. Incredible assortment of cocktail glassware and accessories. Living room very comfortable with beautiful furniture and huge TV to enjoy the Masters! Beds super comfy. Bathrooms perfect. Hot tub and fire pit were a great way to unwind after a busy day. This property is a must for any small family or couples for a get away. We will absolutely visit again. Big thank you to Jim and Carol.

Super convenient location. Minutes away from town but still very private and peaceful. Jill was very communicative and helped with recommendations. Apartment was clean and wonderful. Very spacious and comfortable. Hot tub is a definite plus. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful home and location. Laura was excellent to deal with and always responsive. First Airbnb I have ever stayed at and it was easy. Great location for shopping, dining and wineries.

Cute, quaint, clean, well taken care of older home with many amenities both new and vintage. This place had all we needed and we enjoyed the quiet area. The first floor is for entertaining and the second floor is for guests (including the only bathroom). The ice cream shop is within walking distance and definitely worth a trip. Downtown is within walking as well. There is a really nice cafe too! This home is within 20 minutes to Letchworth State Park and an hour and 20 minutes to Niagara Falls, which is the reason for the stay. We would stay here again. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home.

We were extremely pleased with our stay at Roberta’s place. This was our first visit to Saratoga Springs, and we wanted a quiet place that was convenient to downtown and that would allow us to fully experience the community. We felt at home from the moment we walked into the place. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, and the apartment was very comfortable. The unit was exactly as described and came with coffee for the coffee maker and even a package of scones for us to enjoy. It was a short walk to the restaurants and shops of downtown, and we felt safe walking at all times. Overall, we highly recommend Roberta’s place. We will definitely stay again the next time that our travels take us to Saratoga Springs.

We stayed almost two months at the Victorian gem and it was well worth it. The house was beautiful inside and out and the gated yard was very helpful with our pup. The hosts were very communicative and extremely friendly. We’d definitely stay again!

We only spent a few nights but wish we could have stayed longer. The house met or exceeded every expectation we had. Catharine was friendly and responsive, even made sure we had arrived safely. I specifically chose this house because the views of the lake and this house did not disappoint. Spectacular! The house is extremely clean, well appointed, and Catharine even had holiday decorations throughout (we rented for a long weekend just before Christmas. So many tasting room options, local dining options, and things to do in the Seneca Lake area. Looking forward to a return visit to this or one of Catharine’s other rentals in this same area. You won’t regret renting this cottage!

Beautiful home and amazing property! The house is incredible, and we especially enjoyed the views, peace, and quiet. When we had a minor problem related to the extreme cold, Rebekah responded immediately and came over to fix it within the hour even though it was right before the holiday. She was very friendly, helpful, and responsive. We definitely recommend and will be staying here again whenever we are in the area!

Absolutely amazing stay! We loved the house and it would be great to return. We decided to visit Niagara falls in the winter, it was our first time in the area. I wasn't expecting much of our stay, but it turned out to be a beautiful romantic weekend. The house is right by the lake and has a gorgeous view. You can tell that it was build to be actually used by the hosts and not just a rental property, it is very well-made, cosy, with a lot of nice details and a fully equipped kitchen. We had an great time having breakfast and looking at the lake Ontario. 100% would recommend to stay there!

Nancy’s place was a great option for my stay in the area. The kitchen had everything I needed, and the couch was comfortable. As was the one bed I slept in. I was visiting for a work trip. Nancy was also incredibly responsive to any questions I had, and was offering suggestions for the area I found useful. I’m glad to have found this place. While on this trip, I did not bring my dogs, I will be sure to stay here on my next one to the area. I typically stay in hotels here, but I will do my best to stay at Nancy’s anytime visiting in the future.

Beautiful cabin with authentic Adirondack furniture in great location!

We had a lovely Labor Day weekend stay at Julie’s house. There was lots of space indoors and out. The hot tub, pool, fire pit, and grill were all put to good use and made our stay so homey and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with all the tools and appliances needed. The location is excellent with easy access to 87, SPAC, and the race track.

I don’t even know where to start. Super comfy, super clean, Richard and Susan really love their home and it shows. There’s a calmness and peacefulness as you walk in. My partner and I enjoyed this weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of life. Thank you Richard and Susan for allowing us to unwind this weekend!! Perfect for our family of 6 adults and 2 kids. Andrew & Tracy were fantastic hosts and the home was nice and spacious. A quick drive brought us to downtown Saratoga and the racetracks! We hope to stay again soon.

Our family stayed here right after Christmas & not only did the accommodations fit us perfectly, it was nice to be somewhere that was decorated for the holiday. The house was of course old, but that is part of the charm. The bathrooms were pristine & the grounds were beautiful! We would definitely stay here again! Thank you Martha!

Leo and Michelle were very responsive with any questions we had, and even reached out to offer us an early check in. The location was close enough to our places of interest, while still being slightly rural. The place looked just like the pictures and we felt right at home. We will stay there again when we return!

I highly recommend Shawn’s home- it was beautiful and peaceful stay! The entire place was neat and tidy, everything was easy to find. Our group had a great time watching the birds outside of the windows and watches for other animals outside. We would definitely rent this home again. Shawn is a great host!

Gina is very responsive, and her place is as described—even better in person. It is very comfortable and homey. The kitchen is a plus; it allows me to cook home-cooked meals for my son, who is in college and wants home-cooked meals desperately. The place is not just clean, it's immaculate, and she has items available that a person might need but forget when travelling. This is my second time staying at Gina's; as long as her place is available when I travel to Rochester, I will stay there each time.
