For example, the beautiful forests of Emmen with their dolmens and the Bargerveen nature reserve are nearby but is also fortified town of Bourtange not far.

The apartment is located between monumental thatched farms in old Valthe, a small village on the Hondsrug, Around Valthe, there are forests, fields, heaths, country roads, fens, burial mounds and megalithic tombs. Many cycling and hiking routes run through Valthe that give access to a widespread network through Drenthe and surrounding provinces. 1 child up to 4 years old can stay in the parents' room. On request, a crib/child's bed can be placed.

The large open kitchen has a cozy bar, and outside is a nice garden with lots of privacy. In short, a lovely house for a family or small group.
