Guesthouse vacation rentals in Ella

Even though the villa is remote, down a windy and narrow road, Fernando was always willing to drive us to and from town. Our stay was very enjoyable, we particularly liked the beautiful views, and the delicious breakfast! Fernando ensured we had a comfortable and pleasant stay!

Our stay was exceptional. wished we booked it for longer duration but it was sold out. The view in the day is fantastic. The outdoor area is amazing to relax and chill with friends and family. There is a waterfall within 10 min walk. highly recommend booking this spot.

It is a lovely tree house, very beautiful location. Very neat and clean too. Host was very helpful and friendly. Only problem was we had to walk on a stoney road to reach the stay. It is a bit far from road. Overall it was a great experience and the morning view was totally mesmerising. I highly recommend this place.

Lalantha was very responsive throughout the experience and gave information for our itinerary to ensure we made the most of our time in Ella. He was quick to communicate and was accommodating. Lalantha offered to make us dinner and breakfast for a reasonable price and it was very delicious authentic srilankan food. I would recommend to do the same. The place was very clean and in a quiet, peaceful and pretty part of Ella. There are other hotels very close to the property where we went to get some drinks and nibbles. It was perfect for 10 of us with nice outside dining areas and decent sized rooms for sharing. I would recommend having a driver to take you into Ella town and the other sightseeing spots. We were there for one night only and slept comfortably. It does get quite cold in the nightime because of the area so the only negative is I wish some thicker duvets were provided in some of the rooms. Apart from that it was a very smooth experience and very enjoyable.

Arawe Retreat is simply fantastic. From the beautifully appointed accommodation, to the attentive yet relaxed staff, to the tastiest food in Ella. We really had the best time here. Just a short Tuk Tuk from the busy centre of Ella, Arawe retreat provided an oasis of nature focused calm which was hard to leave. Ishanka and his team really have got things just right by creating the retreat around the existing nature and enhancing it. The wildlife noise at night is really something to behold and helps you drift off into relaxed tropical dreams. Huge thanks to Ishanka, Chaggar, Suren and Dashan. You really made this visit memorable and also a special thanks to Banda and Manike. We hope to get the chance to visit again x

Anil is very nice and gave us tips for our activities every day. He organized a taxi for us to leave and always helped us. We were able to store our backpacks with him until departure. Everything is very straightforward and Anil tries to make the stay as beautiful as possible. The accommodation is located in the mountain, but the city is a 10-15 minute walk. The space was clean and there were mosquito nets. Since we arrived one night earlier, we stayed in the lower cabin which is very rustic. We spent the remaining nights in the booked room. The bathroom is in need of renovation in one place or another, but still clean. Breakfast was good and consisted of salty and sweet. The only small disadvantage was that there was no air conditioning and nothing could really dry due to the high humidity. We would go back to Anil anytime.

It was a incredible experience for us to spend one night in this beautiful place. We specially enjoyed spending the evening with our adorable guest. This family is so friendly and cute. Thanks again for everything
