Miguel has a truly magical place. It's incredibly charming and wonderfully unique. And then there are the surroundings - utterly gorgeous sunsets and plenty of peace and privacy. There are so many cozy places, indoors and out, to enjoy the beautiful environs. It was the sanctuary I hoped for - perfect for quiet time and contemplation. The access to local things to do was also a big plus.

Sometimes five stars was not enough to properly rate this place. We came for a four-day weaving workshop at Tierra Wools in Chama and this place was just 10 minutes away. It is in the quiet community of Brazos and was in such a picturesque location especially after the two snowfalls we had. The house was warm and comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen. The internet worked fine (many of the other airbnbs in the area did not offer wifi). This nicely restored and decorated old adobe was the perfect escape after a long day in the weaving workshop. We also really appreciated the covered parking area when leaving in the morning after a night of snow.

My husband and I visited the property towards the end of the off season. We really enjoyed the peaceful setting, and we loved the amenities the property had to offer. Pagosa Springs is a reasonably short trip from this location, and there a few fun things to do in and around the town. We chose this location because of the privacy and its location in the mountains. The cabin is beautiful and well maintained. I highly recommend this location to anyone searching for a peaceful location in the mountains to add to their itinerary.

My friend Maggie and I stayed here for a few nights at the end of a southwest road trip. It was a dream, we didn’t want to leave! Lauren’s casita is clean, cozy, and has everything you need for a memorable and restorative stay. We especially enjoyed the fireplace in the bedroom, the well-stocked kitchen, and the beautiful surroundings and decor. Lauren was very friendly and accommodating. We’ll definitely be back!

Our stay was peaceful and magical. Lots of walking trails from the property. Felt secluded. The sauna was a godsend to use. The only downside was that the oven makes a clicking sound whenever it’s in use, as if it keeps trying to light the pilot light. We weren’t informed about this until I called Mike to ask about it. Not the end of the world but definitely stopped us from using the oven as much.

Michael is an excellent host, communicative, understanding and very helpful. This was our second time at his place and he always goes above and beyond to make sure everything goes smoothly. I am so grateful he shares this space for all to enjoy, the cabin is amazing and the view from the back porch is one of the best in NM. The space is extremely clean with plenty of room, has everything you need for a wonderful stay in a magical place. Can't wait to come back!

We loved the cozy feel as we drank hot cocoa ( that was provided by the host) and watched it snow. The heat stove kept everything nice and toasty, the bed was comfy, and the bathroom was spotless. We can't wait to go back!

I couldn’t speak enough about this home. It was exactly what we wanted and expected for a holiday getaway. We had 4 people and you could easy have had 2-3 more without being over crowded. It was such a wonderful home feeling if you’re looking for a place to get away. We had everything plus more than we could ask for when having to remember to pack things. The neighborhood is EXACTLY what you want when you are looking for a mountain getaway. We had deer walk right up to us and eat out of our hands. The Brazos River is walking distance and that was amazing! I couldn’t say enough how wonderful it was! Don was super attentive and gave clear instructions for everything and anything around us! Definitely worth booking and staying! I wanted to rebook on the way home!!
