Very nice, well equipped, quiet, lovely walks nearby and great hosts!

The surrounding area is populated with buildings that are centuries old. Staying at the Old Forge involved us closely with the charm and history of this area of Suffolk. The local shop the Boxford Stores is the oldest recorded shop in Britain. The beams in the bedroom are beautiful, my husband even noticed the traditional plasterwork had horsehair within it. It's certainly the most historically interesting individual home we've stayed in , fascinating. The bed was so comfortable, we loved the quality of the bedding.

Colin and Linda were absolutely wonderful hosts! We stayed for an extended period while awaiting the completion of our house, and they made us feel incredibly welcome and comfortable. Their communication was always prompt and helpful, making our long stay much smoother. What truly stood out was their kindness and willingness to go the extra mile. When we found ourselves needing daycare for our dog, they stepped in to help us out, which was a huge relief! Their generosity and understanding were truly appreciated. We couldn't have asked for better hosts. We highly recommend Colin and Linda to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming Airbnb experience. They made our transitional period so much easier. Thank you both!

I made my booking last minute, literally 1 hour before leaving home. Camilla replied to my request to book promptly. The place was really lovely, cosy and peaceful, just what I needed and the pain au chocolate and the croissants were a nice touch. You can walk to the local Inn where the food is great and they are dog friendly. There is also a footpath that runs through Camilla’s property so you can just park the car and walk. I’ll definitely go back again.
