Eastern Shore of Virginia vacation rentals

The Bird House is a tucked away sanctuary on a working farm. Bountiful fishing in the pond - just out the back door. Beautiful sunrises over a Chesapeake tributary-out the front door! A wonderful sun deck with cushioned chaises. We enjoyed visiting with the horses, chickens and cattle. So much to see and experience. We saw butterflies, rabbits, heard very loud frog harmonies, a happy couple of geese, turkeys, and lots and lots of deer. The Bird House was a wonderful place to unwind, slow down and enjoy nature. The furnishings were extremely comfortable and well thought out. Thank you for sharing such a magical place.

The stay was very nice, it made for the perfect getaway for a few days! We especially appreciated the noise machine in the bedroom and the hammock out back! We'll be sure to check back whenever we're looking to stay in Cape Charles again!

Great spot near the beach and town and close enough that you can walk to both. Home was very clean, updated, and well appointed, but still had the charm of a beach cottage. Kitchen had all we needed for cooking and the front porch was perfect for relaxing and watching our kids bike and scooter up and down the sidewalk. Anna was so responsive and helpful with any questions we had. We hope to come back again soon.

Cute and cozy, this house has unique and unusual features because of its age that make it an interesting place to stay. Loved the frog song from the wetlands in the neighborhood and the proximity to various waterways and scenic views.

Exactly as shown! This place was perfect for a weekend getaway. Parking was easy, and the location was very quiet, yet walkable!

Very cozy Airbnb that felt like you were in the country with a nice big beautiful yard but right around the block are the stores! Kinda made me wanna look for a place to buy even though not a city girl. Me and my 3 large dogs enjoyed the stay and it was perfect for what I needed and priced just right! I love that you can close and lock the gate and let the babies run free for a quick potty or play! Thanks again yall!

Kenneth was an exceptional host for the following reasons -provided great recommendations for food, adventure on & off the property, & everything in between -approachable when we had questions and/or curiosity -clear & prompt communication -such a cozy, welcoming restored smokehouse (smelled like cedar, oak, & pine in there..LOVED it) -very well kept & clean, his & her robes were perfect for the shower & towels, washcloths, & linens were ready & waiting - fully stocked with treats, coffees & teas -gorgeous property w/ amazing dock for casting a few & enjoying unreal sunsets - super peaceful & serene My husband & I had our mini moon here & it was a continuation of our dreamy marriage to each other. We travel a lot. We spend a lot of nights in all sorts of rentals. Egrets at the Point is a crown jewel. It’s not the fanciest place we’re stayed in, but it felt like home, and the comfort level is off the charts. This is not a museum, it’s a home. There was plenty to love about Karen’s home. There was nothing missing. And if there is, Karen or Chris are just a few steps away. The town of Onancock is close by, a short drive or if you like to walk and watch nature, it’s a short stroll. Karen can answer pretty much any question you might have after reading the guide available after you check in. Visit. You’ll want to come back and wish you had stayed longer. We know we’ll be back!

We enjoyed our stay at this peaceful waterfront house on Church Creek. Communication with the hosts was great. The house was clean and very well equipped and organized. We appreciated having access to kayaks and life jackets. If you're looking for a quiet retreat with easy access to points of interest on the Eastern Shore of Virginia we would highly recommend this rental.

My husband and I stayed at Vernon’s place over the Christmas holiday. We had a wonderful time and fully enjoyed the beautiful house. It looked exactly as in the photos and the sunrise from the deck was just gorgeous. They were very responsive and the instructions were very clear. We would definitely recommend this house and look forward to a return visit.

We had a wonderful stay on the Jolly houseboat. We were unsure what to expect, but the location and boat were so unique they far surpassed anything we had imagined. Claire was communicative from the start, present on the grounds, and such a reliable host. The description could not be more accurate. We feel that Claire was very forthcoming about the realities of staying on a houseboat and its likeness to an RV. We stayed with a toddler and had been well prepared. While the space is small, especially if you're tall, there is still a good amount of room including a kitchen, two bathrooms, and bedrooms. The surroundings were beautiful, we had seafood provided by the hosts including crabs and bay oysters which were so fresh. We learned so much about life in Baylanding, which has left us longing for slower paced days away from the city. Assateague and Ocean City are a short distance. We spent time in the town's bakeries and toy stores and parks. A wonderful memory will cherish forever!

We had an amazing stay on this little island. Erin’s home was beautiful, clean and just as expected. She had detailed and clear instructions, along with helpful hints. We could not have asked for anything more!! If we have the opportunity to come back, we’ll definitely book this adorable cottage.
