Authentic and Romantic Lodge close to nature

Authentic and romantic lodge originally built of timber and used for the first time back in 1850 as housing for as many as 10 persons. Situated between the sea and the forest and with the northern light as only light in the dark season this might be the perfect place to enjoy North of Norway. The perfect match for a couple, but will also function very well for up to four persons. It is renovated to a modern standard in 2018, with focus on maintaining the heart and soul of the old building.

My husband and I started our project in 2017 and finished it in the end of July 2024. I’ve been obsessed with the bay window where I can see the beauty of the view through all the seasons which give me such a different moment in every season to take on. This new (10/2025) triangular cottage is located on the shore of a small lake just a 20-minute drive from the center of Tampere, but in the middle of a large wooded plot, it feels like you are in the middle of the wilderness. Wake up to the birds singing, enjoy your morning coffee on the jetty and watch the mist rise from the water. Take a hiking or mountain bike trip in a nearby nature park or try your luck at fishing. Evening sauna, hot tub, fireplace and starry sky crown the day.

Cozy wilderness cottage in the tranquility of nature on the shore. Great hiking opportunities. The cottage is located on a large private property 6 km from the owner's home. Access to the cottage is only through the owner's backyard area. No close neighbors. The cottage is accessible by car. The guest must be an experienced guest who controls the wood-burning fireplaces and the use of a gas stove. Also used to survive in different natural conditions at different times of the year.

Completely separate from other tourist groups. From the cottage, you have a nice view of Lapporten. And if you're lucky, you'll be able to see the northern lights directly from the cabin.
