Kid-friendly vacation rentals in East Melbourne

Jane’s place was excellent!! We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens) and we have been coming to Melbourne for years but this was our first time staying in Richmond. The location is brilliant, close to tram and train and Swan St is fantastic for an array of delicious cafes and restaurants. The terrace was beautifully appointed and a fabulous place to use as a base, but also to relax and unwind. We highly recommend!!

Beautiful place, very easy to check into. Bed was soo comfortable! Kitchen had everything needed to cook and bathroom was nice. Street was lively in the day but to be expected given the area but night time was nice and quiet. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again and recommend others stay as well. Thank you for a wonderful much needed Staycation.

Lovely air bnb. Justin was great with communicating and letting us extend our check out time by a couple of hours. Location was good but loud when going to sleep on weekends people walking past. Construction was happening next door which we weren’t made aware of so was loud! Workers throwing bricks and tools around.

Great spot, pretty quiet. Easy access to Melbourne CBD and surrounds. Bed was comfy. Would be happy to stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay – the house is beautifully styled, in a great neighborhood, and easy to find with accessible parking. It’s a cozy, welcoming space that’s clearly well looked after. Just a heads up: the 2 bedrooms in the main house don’t have AC, so if you're sensitive to temperature, it might be worth considering the season before booking - there is AC in the main living area, but it's at the other end of the house. It was unseasonably warm in Melbourne during our stay, but we got through it alright. Kali was a fantastic host – super responsive and friendly, and since she lives next door, she was always around if we needed anything. Would happily stay again!

Great , clean and cozy house. Jay was very quick to respond. At the end, we enjoyed our stay and had a nice and relaxing time.

Our family of 5 had a great stay at Graci's home in Port Melbourne. Lots of space, great amenities, quiet location, close to amenities. We would definitely stay again.

This property was perfect. Great location, beautiful home to bring your dogs for a little getaway with small back yard. The fireplace makes it feel so homey in winter. We absolutely loved our stay here!! Boris was a fantastic host who responded so fast everytime. We will be back again!

I loved staying for 6 nights at Melanie's quiet and peaceful apartment. So easy to walk via Fitzroy Gardens to the CBD or to catch the tram or train from Jolimont Station, 5 minutes' walk away. The best Air BnB stay I've ever had in Melbourne.

Very tidy apartment in a well to do area which is very walkable and has tram connections very close by in either direction. Tastefully decorated with everything you need. The bedroom is on the small size and the bathroom was a bit cold as we were here in winter but the heat pump and panel heaters work well and overall it’s a lovely place to stay.

Great spot in Richmond, close to shops, restaurants and the MCG. Samantha made it easy to self check and the apartment was just as described, clean and private. Would definitely book again.

Beautiful cozy apartment located in an awesome area. Lots to do like footy, restaurants and exploring local parks. Tahlia was very responsive when ever we had a question and was very friendly. Would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area.

This is a fantastic apartment in Fitzroy. It exceeded my expectations! Large bright place that is well stocked. Comfy bed, and couch, awesome shower and tub. Great heating if you are there in winter. Wonderful location with grocery store across the street, tram stop out front and lots of restaurants in the area. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Cathie and Michael’s for three nights. The apartment is situated close to cafes, restaurants and shops, with a tram stop not too far away. The apartment was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Even though we went in winter, we still made use of the spacious verandah. It’s one of the best Airbnbs we have stayed in, we would definitely stay again.

Perfect spot for what I needed. Is bigger than it looks in the photos. It's up on the 7th floor so has a really lovely view of the city - 2 min walk to tram and trains. Really quiet inside too (I was there when there was a concert on at Rod Laver and couldn't hear any of it once I was inside). Super clean too. I run an annual event close by which is why I booked it and wouldn't hesitate booking this again.

Wonderful place to stay. Walking distance of things we wanted to do or an easy 2 minute walk to the tram station. Pool was fantastic and view was lovely. Host included a booklet with things to do around melbourne, overview of the building and suggestions of the local area.

We had a lovely stay at Henfry’s place. Our favourite part was the view - absolutely stunning! The apartment was neat and clean. The location was great, we walked everywhere. Would highly recommend and stay again.

Kate's cosy apartment was super good. Restaurants, theaters, great shopping, transport and even parks all really close by. Really close. Great shower, comfy bed, and so many thoughtful extras that I never expected. Thanks Kate for a wonderful week.

My wife and I had great 5 day stay. Amanda was a great host and clear with her instructions. The unit is in a fantastic position, ultra quiet and close to all you need to do in Melbourne without the hustle and bustle of staying in the CBD. A great stay, just on the edge of China town, the food in the area is incredible. Aside from endless food and drink the stay itself was perfect. A great space, the photos of the place honestly don’t do it justice. Having a night in the high rise with the city views is just a good time all around. Grantley, was incredibly responsive and was flexible when we needed something. We would stay here again without thought. Truly sad to have to check out! Till next time.

This apartment is in a convenient and safe-feeling location. It was mostly quiet, though on weekends I could hear some nightlife, but nothing too close or loud. The host was very responsive; a few minor issues were handled efficiently and with clear communication. The lovely bath felt like a real indulgence. I’d happily stay again!

My partner and I absolutely loved our stay at Stacey’s home. Her descriptive explanations of how to get to her place made it quick and easy for us. Stacey was also very quick to reply to any questions I had which was very helpful. Amazing stay, highly recommend
