Uns war es bei der Renovierung des Hauses und auch bei der Dachbodenrenovierung wichtig, den alten Charakter des Hauses zu erhalten und mit modernen Elementen zu ergänzen. Die Siedlung Heimaterde steht unter Denkmalschutz , wodurch der einheitliche Charakter mit den schönen Gärten weitestgehend erhalten geblieben ist.
