Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown

Our first family trip to Dublin with three kids was absolutely wonderful in large part because of this amazing home we rented! The home is both gorgeous and comfortable - the kids felt right at home and always found something to do there. The beds are comfortable, kitchen well appointed, and the whole space so welcoming and peaceful. I appreciated Sinead’s communication and helpful advice, as well as all the personal touches she left to get us settled in quickly, including a welcome and good luck note for my daughter who was there for a dance competition. I cannot say enough about this wonderful home, so happy we got to enjoy it for our 10-day trip to Dublin!

Quiet, family neighborhood with plenty of space to spread out. We felt right at home. The beds were comfortable. I would highly recommend and we would stay here again! Thank you Ellen for providing a great Airbnb experience!!

Patricia was most welcoming, greeting us the moment we stepped on property. She had lovely flowers and snack to make us feel welcome which was a treat. We loved the clear instructions and recommendations she had prepared for everything imaginable. The apartment was beautiful and comfortable and the location was a quick walk into town. Dalkey is a beautiful and friendly town that I will return to.

A very charming home in a great location! The house was very clean, exactly as advertised and Phoebe had even left a little Easter surprise for my daughter. The check in was very easy and any questions I had were very quickly answered, I honestly have nothing bad to say. A great place to stay to discover south Dublin and the city center is very easy to access with the dart which is a couple of minutes away.

House was easy to find, parking was fine, house was pristine, beds were comfortable. We got locked out of the house but help was provided within the hour.

This is a lovely, spacious period house with lots of character in a great location. Nice place to stay for a family gathering with helpful hosts. This is a residential home so felt very much like borrowing someones house rather than an impersonal holiday rental. There is lots to do nearby with stylish eateries and drinkeries. 5 minutes from the sea with all year round swimming available for the hardy. There are a couple of saunas near the sea if you want to warm up too. We popped over to the James Joyce museum in a nearby tower and took the Dart into central Dublin- all very easy. Hosts were very helpful and responsive, providing plenty of support and information before check in and during stay as required. There is on site parking but the access is tricky for some cars due to angles,slopes etc (not uncommon in Dublin I understand). there is also plenty of free parking round the corner 5 minutes away. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to others.

We had a lovely stay in Laura’s modern, comfortable home in Dublin. Her house is spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a relaxed visit. The location is handy — just a short walk to the Luas - which made getting to and from the city very smooth. A highlight was using the record player in the evening, which added a unique touch to our stay. The weather was lovely and it was a bonus to be able to enjoy the back garden. I would happily recommend Laura’s home to anyone visiting Dublin who needs easy access to the city!

Had a great experience staying at this Airbnb. The space was very clean and cosy. Communication was seamless, and they even provided a helpful guide. The location was also perfect, with shops just a short walk away.

Perfect location - right between an Aldi and a decent sized Dunnes supermarket, and 5 mins walk from the nearest Luas (tram) stop. The apartment is very spacious, and well equipped, and was spotlessly clean. Good communication throughout. We had a lovely stay, and this will definitely be our first choice the next time we come to Dublin. There's a lovely Indian restaurant nearby - Southern Spices - which I'd recommend trying out too!

The thing we loved most about staying here was that we could leave the car in the private gated lot and walk to the tram station around the corner. It was also super handy to have 4 leap cards provided that we refilled as we went. We took the train everywhere! There were also some really good coffees shops and restaurants within walking distance as well as a Tesco for groceries.

Derina immediately connected with us months before we arrived. It was like having a friend in Ireland! Our goal for this trip was to do excursions around Dublin (we'd already seen Dublin itself on a previous trip). Access to DART made day trips possible (it's 12-15 minutes to-from the station). Dalkey is a wonderful community that made us feel like residents. Great pubs, restaurants, and their own castle. Derina's house is quiet, safe, and is also within walking distance of an upscale grocery/deli (Barnhill Stores). We really loved our stay!

Alan was an exceptional host. He went above and beyond to help us during our stay. He provided us with local recommendations and volunteered to drive us to city center and to our tour pick-up location. He is friendly, helpful and responsive. We would highly recommend his AIRBNB.

Had a fantastic stay in Dublin. Dalkey is such a picturesque town. The studio was perfect, clean, modern, cosy. Entrance was great and easily accessible. I was in Dalkey for a training course and I felt very safe as a solo female traveller. Will definitely come back for a stay.

This is my second stay, I basically stay in air b&b’s and hotels constantly through work. I can honestly say this is by far the best accommodation we have ever had the privilege of staying in. The little extras to make you feel right at home is above and beyond any other host I’ve had the pleasure of staying with. Would highly recommend and will be my only choice every time I’m within a hours commute. Excellent host and pristine accommodation.

Omar’s airbnb was great! Very spacious rooms and kitchen for a group of 6 adults, and host was kind to give us some chips, cookies and 2 bottles of wine! Host was also very friendly and responsive and helpful. The only minor inconvenience is the house stairs to the top floor, it is really cramp hence bringing any size of luggage up would be nearly impossible, more for backpacks. The rooms are much warmer at the top floor but it was great for me since it gave me warmth during the cold. Overall highly recommend this place!!👍🏻

Mel's place was the best place for me and accessible to my location . i did not have to spend on transportation since it was a walkable distance to my place of work. i will like to visit again when ever i will work in Dunlaoghaire. We had a good Four days stay. Responsive Host. Matched the description. Helpful instructions. Very close to bus stop.

I stayed at this property for approximately two weeks. It's a modern large spacious flat with everything you might need. It comes with an underground parking space with direct access to the flat via lift, handy if it's raining. The flat is a ninety second walk to the Luas tram station so even if you don't have a car you can get directly into Dublin city centre. Weather was pretty cold but the flat heats up quickly with the modern wall mounted thermostat. Large Dunnes stores less than five minutes walk from the flat, very convenient for groceries. A recommended stay.

Karen went out of her way to make sure I could get into the property after a very late arrival on the ferry. She checked to make sure I was comfortable during my stay and was very quick to answer any questions I had. thank you for a lovely stay!

Colman’s place was exactly as described plus more. Perfect location with all amenities you could ask for. Colman was very responsive and helpful whenever we needed him. He even stayed up until 1 am for our check-in. Definitely would recommend!!

Eva and Alan were amazing hosts. We made a last minute booking and they were really sweet and accommodating, got the place ready for us to check-in with such professionalism. During our stay they made sure we got everything we need. Their place was very cosy, clean, situated on the beautiful hill with beautiful landscape. We had a relaxing time staying there. Highly recommend to anyone who plans their visit to south Dublin.

Place was very clean, looks exactly like the pictures. The stairway is a bit narrow so might be a bit difficult with large luggage but still manageable. Niamh was very helpful with every question and request I had, I was very satisfied with the communication, very good host. Surroundings are amazing, a lot of nature and fresh air, very good for taking walks. Lots of nearby pubs and restaurants at walking distance. The only thing I would say can be improved is the shower, the door is a bit broken, water doesn't flow outside but it's a bit difficult to close and open. Kitchen is well equipped, nothing is missing. Recommend the place for sure

Really enjoyed our stay. Great location (1 minute walk to LIDL, 3 minute drive to centre of Bray, 2 minute drive to M11 motorway). The apartment itself was well equipped with lots of storage space, and it was clear that the host has put a lot of thought into the little touches.
