Lake house vacation rentals in Door County

we very much enjoyed our stay at rachel’s. it was so nice to be right on the water, look at and listen to the waves, and watch the birds fishing. the house was very comfortable—more than enough room for the two of us. we liked having a fire in the fireplace and in the outdoor pit. and we saw some excellent fossils in the big rocks on the beach! rachel and shelly are exceedingly responsive to any questions or queries. if you ever have an issue, they will do their best to resolve it. we would happily stay at this house again!

This was an amazing location and beautiful home. The hosts were very accommodating and quick to respond. We had to cut our time short due to family emergency and left a whole suitcase behind and they shipped it back to us. Will definitely be back.

Dana was very responsive, texts and emailed every other day with directions and local recommendations leading to the arrival was wonderful. The place was so serene and tranquil for us. The two eagles in the backyard on first day of arrival and visit of three deer on our last night were a treat. We were there for a leadership retreat I took it as, the Lord was going to lead us and by our obedience, He will let us soar like eagle. To soar like eagles, we must seek God as the deer pantheth for the water, so our soul can be fulfill with his presence to do his work for his honor and glory.

This place was delightful , very comfortable, beautiful surroundings, right on Lake Michigan with all the comforts of home. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. Bathrooms very clean. Plenty of space and room. Overall it was very clean and tidy too. The location is close to towns and places for whatever you want to do such as shopping or getting into a nature park and trail. I was there in the fall and the colors were fantastic but this is a great place for any season.

The Channel House was exactly what I expected and what I needed for a chill off-season vacation with an excellent water view. Jeanette was super responsive and helpful from the moment I made the reservation. Highly recommend!

Our family vacation was absolutely what we wanted on Washington Island, and especially at Essa's home! We wanted a quiet, relaxing place, and we definitely got that. We seriously felt like we were on a secluded island....didn't see one person until we drove to the other side of the island! If you are looking for a place to get away from the everyday hustle of life, Essa's place is where it's at. We got up in the mornings and had coffee and read on the 4 season's porch, sat on the beach, played games, watched movies, and had bonfires in the evening. The only bad thing....the week went to quickly!!!!

What a beautiful place and location. It was perfect for our trip. Easy ride into Green Bay to watch the game and such a quiet area. The Lake was great to look at through the glass doors. Would absolutely recommend to anyone and will book again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit to Sturgeon Bay and Benjamin's Airbnb. The house is extremely clean and pretty and comfortable. The kitchen is very well-equipped. The views and sunsets were fantastic! The house is in a great location. We toured the peninsula each day and found it easy to get where we wanted to go from the Airbnb. We were able to get out on the water in the kayaks, enjoyed a fabulous fire in the fire pit and had fun watching the avian visitors at the feeder. Benjamin promptly answered all of our questions and gave us great recommendations when we asked. This was our first visit to Door County and we had a great experience. We'll visit again and agree that we would love to stay at Ben's house again.

The house is beautiful. The host was fantastic. Beautiful surroundings. It was great to sit out on the deck that over looked the river.

This was a place out of a storybook. We couldn’t believe the pictures (which looked amazing) didnt do the place justice. Dan was highly responsive and provided us with everything we needed to know to have a great experience. We needed to check in a little earlier and he was very flexible in making the happen. The house was amazing! Stocked with linens, towels, shampoo and soap, felt like a luxury hotel experience. We spent a lot of time in the loft - cozy, homey and stocked with books. This house had something for everyone. We went on walks on the beach and there were grocery stores within a few minutes. We would stay there again in a heart beat. I was skeptical at how much we would enjoy it considering it was raining and cold, but it was incredible. A+ hosts and made for an unforgettable experience!

The lot and outdoor space are really beautiful and peaceful - stunning view of the water from the living room and kitchen area. Beds and pillows were comfortable and lots of extra soft, cozy blankets. Kitchen had what we needed to cook meals. Lovely to relax in the hot tub watching the birds along the shore. It is smaller - only two people can comfortably fit, which worked fine for us. We had to use bath towels for the hot tub, but I suspect there might be extra amenities like extra towels and patio furniture out when the weather is warmer. It was still quite cool with sporadic snow when we visited in March. The Adirondacks by the shore were perfect for bundling up to watch sunsets though. Check-in and out went smoothly and the host was responsive and communicated with me through the whole process.

We had the best time at the most beautiful location! Everything was perfect for a great ladies weekend on the water. Austin communicates quickly and easily, and everything was perfect from start to finish!

Perfect experience from the moment we made reservation through checkout! Marissa was so helpful with local recommendations and clear instructions. Very comfortable for the sisters and daughters’ weekend (6 of us). Neighborhood was very quiet and easily accessible to all Door County has to offer. Numerous amenities including well supplied kitchen, laundry detergent, Kleenex, towels, blankets, games and one of the best: phone chargers in every room! The girls hope to visit Door County again and stay at Marissa’s. Thanks for your part in making the memories!

Great home on Sand Bay. We went during the winter to go ice fishing. Plenty of room for all of our group, ample parking. Close to Sturgeon Bay for restaurants and bars. Great value.

Kevin and Christie were great hosts. We really enjoyed the location and being able to watch the tugs go through the channel. House had everything we needed for a quiet family getaway. Thanks for sharing it with us!

The home was right on the lake as Robert and Marina mentioned with such beautiful and peaceful views. It was easy to get to and access the home, off one of the main streets past some beautiful homes. The place was clean, comfortable and just what we wanted for a long weekend away. The place was spacious for two of us and had all the amenities we needed. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to spend time in Sturgeon Bay and Door County.

We had an amazing stay for the 4th. The highlight of the home was the location in Sturgeon Bay. It was a quick drive into town for great restaurants and shops. We rented kayaks and were able to easily launch into the water (be sure to bring water shoes). The lawn and garden were beautifully maintained. The deck and adirondack chairs made sunsets around the fire pit ideal. The home was very clean and the beautiful kitchen was well stocked. Highly recommend!

Our stay was so enjoyable. The space accommodated our family of 5 (three kids under 6) well. It was so fun to explore the area and we loved playing on the waterfront. The amenities were top notch and convenient. We cooked quite a few meals in the kitchen, played in the yard, relaxed in the living room after exploring. We are excited to come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Wilke Waterfront Bayside Retreat. The property was impeccably clean and stocked with plenty of amenities to make our stay comfortable. The location is ideal, whether you're planning to explore Door County or Green Bay. The westward views over the waters of Green Bay were simply spectacular, offering beautiful sunsets. We highly recommend this retreat to anyone looking for a serene and unique getaway

We were looking for a nice house for our group for the weekend for a birthday celebration that was close to wineries and gift shops. We found that with this listing! Plus we were right next to the beach! The house was roomy and had lots of outdoor space. The amenities were awesome and the kitchen was fully stocked with seasonings and cooking supplies! The sunrises were amazing!

Very cute stay in Sturgeon Bay, our 12 year old loved fishing off the dock at every opportunity. We enjoyed coffee on the front porch overlooking the canal. It’s out of the way of the busiest tourist stuff so it was pleasantly quiet, but still within easy driving to attractions and other little towns on the peninsula. Shaun was a great host and had cookies from a local bakery waiting for us at check in! Would happily stay here again.

David's cottage is great and accommodates a large group well (we had 12). It is very comfortable and well equipped. We had a couple disappointments, and this was no fault to David and Debra. There is no smoking on the property and it is listed plainly in the House Rules, but I did not check that before booking because I don't smoke or have pets. However, we did have 2 smokers in our party and they had to leave the property every time they smoked. Another was we were not able to use the fire pit because of a fire ban in the area. Some nice surprises were cherry pie and apple cider donuts! I would highly recommend, just read the house rules (including parking) before you book.
