Monthly Rentals in Dooagh

This was my first visit to Achill Island, and it did not disappoint! The house is comfortable, large enough for a family (though it was just myself this trip), the views are spectacular, and the area is quiet, peaceful and soothing to the soul. I got to experience snow in Ireland and Storm Darragh while I was there, and though the house lost power for a couple of days, the house was cozy and warm enough, there were plenty of blankets and the hot water was plentiful, even without electricity. Jen was kind enough to have the house cleaned halfway through my visit, and the neighbor across the road popped over to check on me, take the bins to the curb, and make sure I had everything I needed. The area is amazingly beautiful, and I walked on the beach many times in the morning or evenings, listening to the sound of the surf and the birds and feeling at peace. I decided to return to Achill Island for Christmas and New Year to experience soul soothing place for a little while longer.

The Boley House is perfect for families who are visiting Achill Island. The house is spacious and located within walking distances to shops, restaurants, and pubs. Noreen is the perfect host who supplied fresh eggs, rashers, sausages and puddings for my family to make a traditional Irish breakfast. This also included homemade brown bread. On several occasions Noreen dropped off freshly made cookies and breads. Just a perfect host!!

A lovely, peaceful apartment. Celia and her family are kind and hospitable. Warm, cosy, comfortable, clean, and homey. Close to the bus, walkable to Keem (with decent weather and fitness). Achill is beautiful and special, enjoy.

Brilliant stay at Elaine’s house. She was extremely responsive and helpful and a great host. The house itself is absolutely stunning close to pubs and restaurants with a beautiful view of the water. The pictures don’t actually do the house justice. Perfect for a family trip away would highly recommend and would love to visit again in the future thanks Elaine!
