Monthly Rentals in Docklow

Walking into this restored building, my first thought was that I'd like to live in a home like this one day. And when we were ready for bed, the mattress was not only comfortable, it smelled amazing, as I shared with Camilla and begged for the secret to how their linens smell so good. The woodstove was cozy and they provided the wood we needed. The everhot stove was really fun to use and everything worked perfectly. We loved going to local towns, especially the Legge's butcher in Bromyard and the bookshops less than an hour away in Hay-on-Wye. The Mappa Mundi and chained library exhibits in Hereford were closed when we visited, but there was a factotum to see of the map so that was almost as good! Make sure to order locally made Robinson's cider at the local pubs.

The fact that we returned 3 months after our last visit, says it all. The Annexe is the break you need to totally switch off. It has everything you need, peace, quiet, no light pollution, countryside, sheep, walks, fruit farm, Mel's amazing bakes, even dogs are fully catered for ... it's just brain break bliss. Our only complaint is that we never stay long enough! Needed just one more night ... next time. Leominster is a short drive or a good walk away, great for antiques mooching. Ludlow a little further on, again great for mooching and a lovely vibe. Mel & Guy (& Bertie) are great hosts, so lovely and friendly, they really make you feel at home and have thought of everything. We love this place.

I can’t say enough good things The Barn! I could move in and be happy here the rest of my life. The attention to detail in the building is exquisite. The accommodations were spotless and very well laid out. I hope we can come across the pond again and stay longer at The Barn. Jen is a great person, so friendly and warm. The views are incredible. Highly recommend!!

Absolutely LUSH!! clean and cosy little home in a quiet neighbourhood. Really friendly and helpful host. Couldn’t have asked for more.
