Unique Dutch Miller’s House

This is a rare opportunity to stay in a traditional Miller's House located on the same property as an authentic 1632 Dutch Windmill. This beautiful cabin offers privacy, nature and canals on both sides, yet is only 1.5 miles (2.4km) from town and a 40 minute train ride to Amsterdam. This cabin was hand built with love & care and it is a pleasure to share it with guests from all around the world. As the Miller of this windmill, I enjoy giving my guests a complimentary tour whenever possible.

Holiday Home Mila

Holiday Home Mila is located in the coast village Egmond aan Zee, 50 meters from the dunes and 100 meters from the center. The beach is 300 meters away from the house. In the village there are several good restaurants, bars and lovely terraces. The supermarket is 200 meters away. The center of the cozy cheese town of Alkmaar can easily be reached by bus with 20 minutes. A day in Amsterdam is also a possibility. From the train station (Heiloo or Alkmaar) every half hour a train goes to A'dam.

The cottage is a spacious detached house with three large bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious and light living room overlooking a beautifully landscaped garden. If you are looking for the perfect place to stay as a family or a group of friends, with everything within reach, this house is perfect!

Centraal gelegen met op korte afstand het centrum, Bos, Duin, en Strand. Het natuurhuisje bevindt zich t midden in de bossen. Het Noordzeestrand is op 1 km afstand. Bergen is een kustdorp in Noord Holland, met gezellige restaurantjes en winkels en alles op loop en fiets afstand van de cottage.

We, a family with 4 children (8, 11, 14 and 16 years), have a holiday home next to our house with its own entrance and parking space. The cottage is within walking distance of the charming village center, just like the beach (approximately 500m from the cottage). 750m away is a beautiful hiking and nature reserve the Zwanenwater. Our place is the perfect base to explore Haarlem/Amsterdam. It is situated in a beautiful neighbourhood close to a historical windmill and amenities. -7 mins bike ride (15 mins by bus) to Haarlem train station and city centre -12 mins bike ride to the sand dunes -20 mins bike ride to the beach -4 mins walk away to bus stop -20 mins train ride to Amsterdam from Haarlem station
