A very special place in the city. A rural street that has existed for centuries. Cobblestones on the road, nature around the corner. The historic center of Alkmaar is a 10-minute walk away. The guesthouse (about 40m2) is in the back house with a private entrance. It consists of a spacious living room/bedroom with double bed, a small kitchenette, bathroom and toilet. Through the French doors you can reach the private terrace. WiFi and television are provided. Private parking. Renting a bicycle is possible.

Description Bed and breakfast In a Glasshouse is located in Oostwoud, in the heart of Westfriesland. It is a cottage-style home located behind our glass studio, in the deep waterfront garden. It can be rented as a B&B but also as a vacation home for a longer period. There is no breakfast service. However, there is a fridge, combi microwave and 2-burner induction cooktop. TV in the bedroom is for streaming only. Private shower and toilet. Walking distance to the cheese market, shops, restaurants, bars and monuments but the courtyard feels peaceful and secluded. The house was lovingly renovated with a new kitchen, a modern bathroom, and antique details for a luxurious yet charming feel.

There is no traffic here, only nature and tranquility around you. Still, it is less than a 5-minute walk to the supermarket. The sea is 5 km away. The dune area is close by. You can cycle or walk for hours through the beautiful forests and dunes where wild horses and cows graze.
