Monthly Rentals in Daufuskie Island

we had never been to Daufuskie Island before and Birdsong was the perfect spot! we brought bikes and back packs with us. the condo is PRISTINE! Everything is very well thought of from a little jar of half and half in the fridge, coffee pods for the Keurig, books, and excellent bath products! There are two restaurants close by: The Melrose Oyster House, a 6 minutes walk along the ocean path, was fantastic and we got to see Danielle perform there last night! The Sportsman Pub is also close by and has excellent food wirh a British pub vibe. The beach is across the street from Birdsong and there are chairs and beach towels available. The beds are extremely comfortable! There are 3 flights of stairs so, as the listing states, if you have mobility issues take this into consideration. we can't wait to stay here again. excellent hosts!!

Great place. Our family of 5 loved being so close to the water. Tons of wildlife (sea snails, hermit crabs, sand dollars, dolphins, a stingray, cannonball jellies , tons of birds). The beach was very private.The water is shallow 3-4 feet all the way out to 30-40 yards off shore which was great for the kids. Felt very safe. If you like a densely packed itinerary for your vacations, this may not be your speed. There are a few restaurants on the island, and you can book private cruises at sunset or fishing , etc… the main thing there is to do is hangout on the beautiful private beach and learn local history. The host was super proactive and thoughtful. We weren’t able to use the pool during our stay due to some kind of issue with the owner’s membership (not the host’s fault). We avoided lowcountry ferry b/c of reviews and used Cpt Jimbo’s Hilton head by boat service. He was phenomenal. Cost ~450 round trip but included plenty of luggage and he was very responsive. Worth every penny.

The Sol Shack was a perfect base of operations for our island adventures. It was the perfect size for two of us with room for another couple. It is situated in a quiet place off the beaten path. The host Tennille was amazing. She was very easy to get ahold of and had plenty of recommendations that were spot on. I would recommend 10/10 times.

The AirBnB isn't massive, but for the price it is a great deal for a long term stay. The unit is cost effective, but still cosy, functional, private, and in a safe area. I definitely would reccomend if you need somewhere to stay for the month!
