A historic stone tower stands atop a grassy hill, partially surrounded by rugged terrain. Lush green fields stretch out in the foreground, with low shrubs dotting the landscape. Overcast skies provide a muted backdrop, adding to the ancient and tranquil atmosphere of the site.

New - Lovely studio with great views

We stayed more than a week and were absolutely in love with this place and what Undine and John made out of it! The apartment is lovingly furnished with an eye for details and very cozy. Everything was well equipped for home cooked meals. It is the perfect location to explore the area around Oban and Glencoe, which Undine gave perfekt recommendations for trips. We enjoyed the tranquility of the place and the views even on rainy days. If you come by car (car rental flitdrive in Oban) and are open for self catering this is a 11 out of 10 for a holiday!

Amazing place. Would recommend it to anyone wanting to get away for a relaxing time with lots of access to the outdoors and especially wild swimming. The place was super well equipped and felt like an actual home rather than a temporary stay. Louisa was extremely responsive and gave great suggestions of what to do and see in the area!

Beautiful place, lovely and peaceful. The little village was really nice, and full of friendly people. Nice little shop in the village you can walk to from the log. Would highly recommend. And will definitely be back.

Spacious lodge with king sized bed

On arrival, the weather was coming in, but as soon as we were inside that just made the place feel cozy, it's well insulated against cold and drafts (and midges). And entering through the conservatory gives an upgraded porch to get yourself and your belongings sheltered under while you are fiddling to get in. Both kitchen and bathroom are really nicely specced, and we found the whole place to easily have everything we needed for holiday relaxing - including a very comfortable bed. The place is quite isolated, so unless your main plans for activity is walking - there is a nice round trip walk down to Furnace - or similar outdoor activities - or none at all - be aware that anything else requires a drive. That being said, nearby Inveraray was one of the most picturesque small towns we saw on our trip, with several good places to eat.

Lynn's place is very quiet and peaceful in beautiful surroundings overlooking the loch, in the middle of nowhere. If you wnat a really peaceful getaway, this is it. It is simple but contains everything you need for a stay. It is very private. I particularly liked watching all the birds on the bird feeder! You do need to either take food or book in for dinner with a pub 25 minutes drive away.
A spacious wooden deck overlooks the tranquil waters of Loch Awe, with natural sunlight casting shadows through the balcony railing. A Scandinavian wood-fired hot tub is situated on the deck, surrounded by trees, creating a serene outdoor retreat.

Add-Burnside Lodge, Dalavich, Loch Awe.

AlexRating, 5 stars7 months ago
This was such a lovely lodge, definitely one of the most private in the area. Loved a cup of tea on the balcony whilst the kids paddled in the burn! Lovely walks from the area, with cafe and pizzas available from the village. The lodge was much bigger than expected, the photos don't show the large entrance area which is great for coats and boots. The bathroom is much bigger than it looks! The lodge has absolutely everything you need, you'll just need to bring all your food, incl herbs/spices and oil etc. The lodge gets lovely and warm, too warm even for end of October, so a winter stay would be fantastic too! We plan to be back before too long.
