I thoroughly enjoyed my few days at ‘The Writer’s Retreat’. Location was perfect for all the places I wanted to visit. Lovely character property, exceptionally clean & very cosy with everything I needed. Very private with option to sit out and admire the wonderful view. Great for my dog with a secure garden.

The house is even better and much bigger than the photos suggest. It’s beautifully laid out and the beds are very comfortable with lovely bed linen. The views from the property are stunning and the table outside catches the sun in the evening. We all loved waking up, opening the blinds and seeing Helen’s rescue chickens wandering about. We loved the goats too. Helen was really friendly and fast to respond and was very generous providing eggs for our breakfast and food to feed the animals. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful beautiful getaway.

We had a fantastic Long Weekend at Stable cottage, a family of 5 with 3 teenagers. The house was big enough for us all to hang out comfortably, the kitchen was well stocked with all utensils and appliances you’d need and we all slept very well in the lovely comfy beds. For our time there, the weather was just perfect and being right beside the river and woodland walks was a delight. Our main aim was to climb Yr Wyddfa, and we were about an hour’s drive from the start of the Llanberis trail. We had a great meal at the Goat Inn which is around the corner, but it wasn’t long to drive into the charming Betsws-y-coed. We will definitely return!
