We had our wedding at this location and it was absolutely amazing! All the guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to and they weren’t wrong. The location was stunning and Douge was amazingly helpful, kind, accommodating, and responsive. He was there in person to show us around and give us a hand. I can not say enough about how fantastic these hosts are and how beautiful this site is. We easily had 11 people stay on site comfortably, the cabin is stunning, the trailers are lovely and everyone was very happy. Thank you so much Douge and Tracy for the amazing stay and for going above and beyond to help make our wedding day a huge success!

This place is exactly what it looks online. Beautiful view, peaceful surroundings, beside the water and a cosy cottage with everything you need. Cathy was a responsive host and we cannot wait to come back!

The cabin was everhthing we wanted and needed. We had an absolute fabulous stay. It’s isolated enough that you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere but it’s still close enough to Courtenay so you’re close to the shops etc. Because of the location, it’s very peaceful. The cabin was cozy; the bed was really comfortable and the wood fire hot tub was such a neat experience! We definetely want to come back, maybe when there is snow because it must be magical.

Had an incredible stay on Mt. Washington at Ski Bunny Betsy's. The home was beyond beautiful and extremely clean. The view was incredibly peaceful and the giant hot tub was a huge bonus! The master bed was extremely comfortable with lost of pillows and crisp linens. Kitchen was a dream to cook in. Lots of space throughout including high ceilings and great communication with Handsome Dan. Can't wait for our next visit!

Sandra’s place was very clean and so beautiful from inside , great wooden work done inside , wooden ceilings were so beautiful and natural ! Outside area was also beautiful covered with thick tall trees . We had a family trip everything matched as per photos . Sandra was great host and always quick in response. Nearby trails leads to a great location towards waterfalls. Kitchen had everything required, washroom were super clean . Thank you Sandra

We had a great time at Paul's place, private and peaceful. Watched the stars from the hot tub and sunset from divers rock (quick walk). The snorkeling around divers rock is fantastic at low tide, provided the ocean chill doesn't take you out too fast! The yurt was a really neat experience, well insulated and quiet. Would definitely stay again!

This is a hidden gem and can't say enough positive things about it! The property is stunning and even more beautiful than the photos do credit. Its not far out from Powell River with close access to biking and other activities in the area. The place felt private, was clean, had comfortable beds and pullout, BBQ, and functional little kitchen. There is a big deck overlooking the ocean and great campfire pit. The real highlight of the property is the hot tub with sunset views and easy access down to the beach for a swim. Paul was friendly and super responsive. We absolutely plan to come back soon.

Susan's place on Cortes was so beautiful and fully stocked. it felt like the perfect cabin getaway!

Our family loved our stay here. Leah is the kindest and most welcoming of hosts. The cabin’s location was perfect for us, close enough to family gatherings in Courtenay but in such a serene place we could unwind in the evenings and enjoy walks surrounded by huge cedars to the beach for the beautiful sunsets. Very dog friendly and we just adored meeting Timber and loving on her too. It was so perfect!

We enjoyed our 6-day stay at this cottage. It was quiet and peaceful, and very comfortable. It was also well-located for our explorations. The kitchen is well-equipped, including a good assortment of herbs and spices. We also appreciated having plenty of towels. The long-stay neighbours are friendly and helpful, including giving us information about the area. The binder in the cottage was also useful for this. A couple of tips for future guests: - the coffee maker is a Keurig, so bring pods if you want to use it - if you use the coat-hooks on the wall behind the cottage door, remember to check them before you leave - easy to not think of it in the flurry of packing up and leaving :-)

Great value for the price! Very cozy, quiet, peaceful place to rejuvenate in nature. Not super close to public transportation so a vehicle is definitely recommended. Very friendly and accommodating hosts, would recommend.

Tania’s cabin felt like going home, but with the added bonus of being located on a beautiful, private section of lake overlooking provincial park land. We couldn’t have asked for a better location to enjoy the lake and nearby trail systems. Directly behind the cabin is a steep, paved pathway down to the dock and beach - both were hands down the highlight of our stay - spacious and set up for relaxing, while also acting as a launch point for paddle boards and kayaks. The cabin was also incredibly comfortable for our dogs - Tania added thoughtful touches just for them including comfy beds, treats, and towels. I especially appreciated the large, working grill on the back deck overlooking the water. This made meal prep easy and an absolute joy. We will be back!

My wife and I had an amazing time spending our honeymoon here. The float house was super comfy. You can sit on the deck and watch the tide come in slowly. The people on the island are super kind. Be sure to check out the farmers market on Fridays to meet the locals. As well as all the road stands set up.

Cortes We stayed one night at Taylor’s lovely, well laid out cabin and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We had time for a good swim in Hague Lake then enjoyed a leisurely canoe trip around the lake and through the lily pads to Gunflint Lake where a dozen or so eagles in pairs and trios flew up from the shore in front of us before soaring to the tops of the trees. It was magical. We also had everything we needed for a delicious evening dinner on the deck (with a view of the lake). We slept soundly in a comfortable bed. Taylor is a warm and efficient host. Her communication is timely and clear. We appreciated the tasteful cabin amenities and little extras that were included. Thank you, Taylor!

Excellent little cabin tucked away in the forest. Really good location, with 2 stores right acrosss the road, but you wouldn't know it because it's so quiet. The cabin is beautiful, with wood interior and spacious decks. It's a small space, but is designed efficiently. George and Kim are very friendly, with many great tips for island destinations.

A lovely cozy and quirky cabin full of character. Central location with easy access to roads for cycling to various beaches. Nothing on the island felt too far to. The use of the bikes was a great help getting about. Bike shop opposite was a bit of a mess but didn’t matter as we were either in the cabin, on the decking or exploring the island. Tim was super helpful with giving us the information we needed for the ferry and taxi and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.

Amazing, beautiful, clean, well stocked, quiet, peaceful, relaxed... I expect to return. Based on the description, photos, and satellite maps, I was surprised that the cabin was so close to the main house. That said, at no point did I feel like anyone else was there. Still felt very private and secluded, and Janet was very respectful and gave us our space. Very comfortable and exactly what I needed. Thank you Janet!

Exquisitely stunning setting & soul-drenching experience. Saltwater Farm is nourishing in every sense & Cortes island is soulfully loved by the locals. it was only an overnight stay, but loved it. quiet area. awesome kitchen. very clean and even though my doggies didn't make it, they were welcome to stay. Sandi was very nice and helpful, greeting us and showing us in. Thanks for the great communication and stay

Cabin had everything we wanted . Comfortable, great host , very quiet and central location. With frolicking lambs in pasture next to us it was a joy.

This is the 3rd year in a row that we have stayed here. It feels like home. The cottage is in the most beautiful location imaginable. Having our meals on the deck overlooking the ocean continued to amaze us day after day. It is be hard to find this combination of beauty, privacy, peace and value in any rental space. This is a rare find!
