Swallow Cottage was lovingly converted by Steve and Sarah from McMurdoston's old granary in 2014 and provides a wonderfully peaceful place to stay while exploring Dumfries and Galloway. The cottage is only 20 minutes drive from a 24-hour supermarket, a cinema and numerous eateries, but once you get here you'll feel as if you are truly in the middle of nowhere. We live just across the yard if you need us and we'll do everything we can to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and quietly memorable.

The Coach House, Glenluiart Cottages

The former Coach House of Glenluiart House in the musical, artistic, festival Village of Moniaive. The Coach House is a category B listed building which has been fully renovated to a high standard and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing short stay. Private grounds, with access to gardens and wonderful countryside views. One mile to the village of Moniaive and six miles to Thornhill with great local restaurants and activities. Nestled in a secluded glen surrounded by mountains and forest, comfortable family holiday accommodation in a detached cottage. Close to the Galloway Forest park, an excellent base for walking, mountain biking and star gazing due to the dark skies. The famous Southern Upland Way walking route is accessible on foot from the cottage along with other beautiful hill walking, including some impressive peaks with breathtaking views. Streams and pools nearby for paddling and wild swimming adventures.

It is nestled just off the dead-end road that goes up the glen.
