Kid-friendly vacation rentals in County Kilkenny

Borris is a beautuful village, the air bnb was in a great place. A very big house with everything you needed. we was a little perplexed as to why two of the bedrooms were locked. It is advertised as a 3 bedroom house. My partner snores so would have liked an extra bed so i could get some sleep. The house is very dated, but comfortable enough. double bed was extremely comfortable and bed linen lovely and clean. Kevin and his wife were really nice people and were accommodating to our needs and let us stay an extra night, so we was very thankful. The house is big enough for a family to stay and I would recommend. There is a smell of dampness, but I have stayed in similar Air bnb in Ireland that smell the same. The kitchen has everything you need to cook with, we did find the Air fryer wasn't cleaned, probably after the last guests. dishwasher etc in kitchen ample places to sit and eat. I was overall very happy 😊

We had a lovely stay in Davids house in Faithlegg. The house was spotless and an ideal location for us. From check-in to when we left everything was perfect. David was so fast to respond to any of my queries. I would highly recommend this accommodation and would definitely visit again.

We stayed here as a group of 23 girls for a hen. The house was absolutely perfect. There was plenty of space for such a big group. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. A brilliant location so close to Kilkenny. Mary was so lovely and helpful throughout the entire process and couldn’t have done any more for us!

Great stay at Nore View House. Plenty of relaxing space, dining/kitchen facilities and great bedroom sizes. Great heating system and never any issues with hot water. The property has great grounds with a short walk to the Nore River trail. This is really special and exactly what we wanted. Just to have the ability to walk from the house around the beautiful grounds. 10min car journey to Kilkenny center and 4 min to a little village in the other direction. Both these locations can be reached via Nore River trail. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband, his parents and our 2 kids (2 and 7) had a lovely stay over easter. Beautiful surroundings, Beautiful house and gorgeous dogs to greet us. We were all very happy with the house, kids thought it was cool! and was safe for them so they had the run of the place. Parents in law loved their room with great big windows to see their beautiful view. Recycling was made super easy with bins clearly marked for everything and Kevin even takes out the compost for you! Kevin, himself, is a really nice host, friendly and super helpful but not imposing, the only times we saw him were to greet us and when he dropped down the most gorgeous lemon drizzle cake, the sponge was perfection! We loved it here and if we're ever back in Kilkenny and this place is free, it is here we will stay.

This was a great house in the country while close to town and an easy base to see the copper coast. Highly recommend. Thanks Clare!

Went to a wedding at Faithleg hotel, this property is in a fantastic location, only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. Check in was super easy and house was modern and clean. Highly recommend.

Lovely town centre dwelling, very very clean & comfortable definitely recommend for a stay in the Urlingford area Anne was a great host.

Janet was very responsive, and was able to accommodate an earlier check-in. Apartment was spotless and very comfortable.

This is an old town house which was a former family home, so its just like a home from home. Its not a five star hotel or guest house but then neither is our own home place and we are perfectly happy there just as we were in this house for our weekend in Graiguenamanagh. Lorraine could not have been more helpful. - Answering any questions we had before booking - Meeting at a time that suited us to hand over keys and explain the running of the house and what was available locally. - Stocking up with Tea, Coffee, Milk, Bread, Jam and Biscuits. - Being at the end of the phone over the weekend to recommend restaurants etc. Grainuenamanagh Our first time and we were all blown away by the beauty of the area. Beautiful towns and villages of character. Indeed 2 minutes from the house there is access to miles upon miles of paradise for any runner or walker in the form of the Barrow way. Why is this area not promoted more from a tourism perspective? If your looking for a place to hide away watching TV on a 40" screen this is not the place for you. However if it a nice home to lay your head after days exploring the beauty of this area then it ticks the boxes. We will be back

Marilyn was so welcoming to her cottage. She provided very clear directions that made the destination easy to navigate. Myself and my boyfriend were staying for a Macra event, Mr. Personality, which was held in The Hub. She ever so kindly dropped us in. If we travel up for that event again, we will definitely book this lovely place. I also made a mistake with my booking 🙈 thankfully she was understanding and allowed us to stay an extra night. we had stayed for one night in this beautiful home and It was a great stay we ever had.The home is very beautiful, neat, organized well and feels very comfy and relaxed.Christine is very friendly and a responsible Host.She is very approachable and helpful and care you as a family member.She drop off me to the railway station and even after I forgot to handover the keys ,she drove back to station without any hesitation,she is such a kind hearted woman.If you are looking for a wonderful calm and relaxed stay, Don't think more,this is the perfect one.We will surely comeback again. Noel welcomed us, kindly explaining everything we needed. The house is very comfortable, nice, in a very central location and we had a very good time. The music from the nearby shopping mall is very loud but starts after 8 am and ends at 7 pm so it didn't bother us.

If this place is available- GRAB IT! The location is IDEAL - close to & in the center of everything in Kilkenny - it really doesn’t get any better than this. I would say it’s even better than the photos. It is spacious, modern, super clean & the washing machine & dryer came in handy as we had been traveling for a while! This was the best Airbnb of our 2 weeks in Ireland! Excellent recommendations (specifically the Asian Fusion restaurant right by the appt!) We LOVED Kilkenny, with the proximity to everything & this beautiful space - made it even better. Do not hesitate to book this place!!

Marie’s place was perfect for our stay in Kilkenny. Walking distance from all of the popular sites and right across the street from St Canice’s Church, which looks beautiful lit up at night. The rooms were cozy and we had everything we needed and more!

Excellent studio located in the heart of the Medieval Mile. All the historic sites are within walking distance from this point. All the required amenities are in the apartment. Maeve is the supportive host who responds to guests' questions. I recommend to everybody who intends to visit Kilkenny. If we have a chance, we will be back again.

Martin really was a superhost! Extremely nice, friendly & helpful. This is a beautiful apartment, very central with secure private parking. The place is spotlessly clean, beds are comfortable & Martin has all the essentials there if you're staying longer. Honestly could not recommend this Air B&B highly enough.

We had a nice stay in Marianne's house I cannot fault the accommodation. It was a lovely apartment with beautiful furnishings. The house is well equiped and wouldnt want for anything for your stay. Marianne was lovely to deal with and responsive. We were very unfortunate that a corporate group booked out the entire hotel and facilities so we could not get any food or drink on site during a large portion of our stay. Marianne does to be fair warn about times where it could be members only but I didnt realise all areas could be booked for exclusive use. I went to use the swimming pool on the last evening with my son and we were really disappointed that it was €50 for a family day pass to go for a swim. I understand a fee but find it hard to justify a price that high. There are lovely walks and grounds to enjoy while staying there. My son enjoyed the playground and exploring the grounds.

Fantastic..loved our stay. ..stark difference from Dublin and Belfast. really enjoyed the peaceful and private space for some much needed downtime.

Sheona's apartment wqs immaculate, very comfortable. Sheona is very conscientious of all needs of her guests. The apartment is located in an excellent spot for walking to all amenities including various river walks. Playground nearby for children. Excellent communication. Beautiful spot. Would highly recommend

We had a wonderful stay at Margaret's, it was just as described with everything we needed. Taxi's were easy to arrange to get into Kilkenny centre. We'd happily recommend and stay again.
