Gorgeous stately manor - felt like we were living in Downton Abbey show. Helen was a gracious hostess and cooked up a sumptuous breakfast feast including homemade jam from their own raspberries. Loved the garden behind the house. Whole experience was elegant and memorable. One of our favourite moments in touring Ireland.

Tybroughney Castle: The Queen’s Suite

AshtynRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
100% worth it. This isn’t just an accommodation, it’s an experience. The castle is very private, and we had it to ourselves for most of our stay. It was 1000x better than the pictures; beautiful, spacious, and comfortable room. The view from the rooftop was gorgeous, and the museum downstairs with all the artifacts found in/around the property was such a cool touch! Daphne and Louis’ attention to detail was astounding with little fun facts posted around the castle. Not to mention the superb breakfast!

Hillview Farm Airbnb

CristianoRating, 5 stars6 days ago
This cottage was built in the typical green Irish countryside. Very functional, with a great relaxation room for the kids and to rest after a day around the beautiful surroundings: Rock of Cashel, Kilkenny, Kilcooley Abbey. The owner is always present and welcoming, we did not have time to visit his farm, as he immediately proposed, but it could be a good excuse to make another trip to Ireland with a different common thread from the one that guided us in this, starting with the scones prepared by Lorna and the excellent milk from Peter's cows.
The exterior of Sugarstown House is framed by a well-maintained lawn, dotted with mature greenery. A gravel driveway leads to the entrance, where a car is visible. The traditional stone façade is complemented by a slate roof under an overcast sky.

Queenies lodge , a stunning getaway, Co Kilkenny

EilishRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We spent a long weekend in Bernie’s celebrating a significant birthday. Three generations of family together & Bernie’s ticked all the boxes in terms of comfort & rest. Our granddaughter loved the outdoors, the treehouse, toasting marshmallows on the fire pit, the games room, the animals. We got a taxi to Killkenny for dinner one evening but otherwise self catered & the kitchen is very well equipped. And we had excellent pizzas done on the bbq. Windgap is a very peaceful rural area & perfect place to getaway. I would recommend it highly.

Traditional South Kilkenny Cottage: stunning views

Louise was proactive in messaging before our stay to make sure we'd have a smooth check-in experience. The property itself is incredibly cosy and has plenty of instructions to make sure you have no issues in working anything. The place was pristine and felt very welcoming on arrival, and the surroundings were stunning. Beds and sofa were very comfortable, and there was a good selection of DVDs and games to choose from.

Wow... what a location. We were so happy to have found this AirBnB, it was a great location for exploring the surrounding area, and a perfect place to relax after a day of walking and shopping. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious, making meal prep a social activity with me and my family ... even the teenagers gave a hand :) Rebecca was a fantastic host. I felt well informed from when I initially looked at the listing to when we left the accommodation. And there were lots of little touches and extras which were a really nice surprise. I would not hesitate to go back there again. Thanks!

Purcells@Knockdrinna, charming cottage in village

We had such a lovely stay at this charming old Irish cottage! The host was fantastic – super friendly, great with communication, and provided clear instructions that made everything easy. The cottage itself has a rustic, rural charm, with a cozy stove and logs thoughtfully supplied – perfect for relaxing in the peaceful countryside setting. It was also dog-friendly, which was a big plus for us. One of the highlights was the warm welcome: we arrived to find homemade scones, butter, and jam waiting for us – such a thoughtful touch. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, authentic escape

Longbowe -A Tranquil stay beside a medieval city

SiobhanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My husband, his parents and our 2 kids (2 and 7) had a lovely stay over easter. Beautiful surroundings, Beautiful house and gorgeous dogs to greet us. We were all very happy with the house, kids thought it was cool! and was safe for them so they had the run of the place. Parents in law loved their room with great big windows to see their beautiful view. Recycling was made super easy with bins clearly marked for everything and Kevin even takes out the compost for you! Kevin, himself, is a really nice host, friendly and super helpful but not imposing, the only times we saw him were to greet us and when he dropped down the most gorgeous lemon drizzle cake, the sponge was perfection! We loved it here and if we're ever back in Kilkenny and this place is free, it is here we will stay.

Although it rained a lot, I felt very comfortable in the cottage. It was very well equipped and I felt very comfortable there. In the rain breaks I could use a bicycle of the people. I took advantage of this opportunity and also went for a lot of walks there. All in all, I had a very nice stay there.
