Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Costa del Sol Occidental

We had a very happy four day stay in September, with five of our family from Australia, Spain and UK. The property is in a quiet area with a lovely garden and large swimming pool. It is only a five minute walk from the local Aldi supermarket and the bus stop to Estepona. Various restaurants are within easy walking distance. Although we did not have a car, there was space to park outside the house. The house was really well equipped, clean and comfortable. Our only challenge was the narrow metal spiral staircase leading up to the second floor bedroom and bathroom, which required a certain agility! We would definitely stay there again.

This lovely and unique cottage was perfect for the two of us for a week in November. We were able to sit around the pool at times and really enjoyed the outside seating area which overlooked the courtyard with trees and birdlife. 🥰enormous wide double bed..We loved Bologna Beach, beautiful sand with dunes at the end, and just a handful of people around. The kite surfing along this coastline at other beaches was spectacular, we have never seen anything like it. An enormous thank you to Frank the owner who assisted me in getting my phone back when I lost it inTarifa. We flew LHR/Gibraltar airport with BA and this meant we had to cross the border into Spain to collect our car hire which was straightforward, but a bit unusual for us. We stopped at Mercadona supermarket en route, as we were not within walking distance of any restaurants, and stocked up with food incl. eggs, bacon, tortillas, salad, bulgar and dips, and this all came in very handy indeed for very relaxing evening meals

Karlien is a great host. Available for any help needed. Great at communicating and getting back to you quickly. This is a lovely villa with sea and mountain views close to town and the sea and a supermarket up the road. I would love to return.

We really enjoyed our stay. John and Elizabeth made sure everything you need is there. Our boys loved the beach toys. Also, the house has it's own parking spot, very close to the house, which is very convenient. We would recommend staying here!

We had a wonderfull stay at Maggies beautiful house near the beach with our parents and 2 year old. The house is well equipped with a beautiful view on walking distance to the beach. I can recommend this place.

Frigiliana We selected Camilas house for our one-week stay because of the beautiful surroundings of Frigiliana and we did not regret our choise. We enjoyed the Moresque influenced clean but robust design of the house, the remote sea view as well as the peaceful surrounding nature. A car is definitely a must for accessing this hillside location, but actually it took us less than five minutes to drive to Frigiliana and twenty to Nerja and the coast. The house is spacey with a well equipped kitchen, small dining room, large bedrooms and cozy sittning areas, several outfoor terraces giving opportunity to enjoy the sun or shadow throughout the day. We did not miss the TV at all. Heating elements were provided in every room. We also enjoyed the pool area! We found nice restaurants in nearby Frigiliana and visited also the magnificent Nerja caves and made one day-trip to Alhambra. Camila and Pati (the local host) were always friendly, responsive and easy to communicate with.

Silvia welcomed us with great warmth, just what we needed after a complicated experience with our previous accommodation. He was very flexible with check-in and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The apartment was impeccably clean, very well-equipped and in an unbeatable location, almost right on the beach. In addition, Silvia gave us excellent recommendations to enjoy the area. A perfect stay in every way – we would love to return.

We loved our stay at Dominic’s place. First time trip to Gibraltar and it was perfect. Walked from the airport in 10 mins, across the runway, a big novelty especially as I’m a bit of an aviation geek😁 Easy to jump on a bus outside to most locations (bus info is helpfully printed out in apartment along with other local attraction info) or walk the 10/15 mins into the heart of town, ocean village etc. loads of bars/restaurants etc. East beach is lovely for a swim and 7-8 min walk. Spotlessly clean, beds super comfy, we had everything we needed. I now have to buy an egg chair for home as our 14 year old loved it. The balconies were amazing, couldn’t get much closer to The Rock. Dominic was so quick to respond to questions and we were able to drop our cases in the apartment early after arriving at lunchtime & then wander into town with just our hand luggage bags . The apartment is great, clean and clean. The location is perfect. A quiet place and easily accessible. Supermarkets and restaurants nearby and a few kilometers from Marbella by car or public transport. I have already repeated in this same apartment and will most likely do it again.

I loved the apartment, great location, good price for being downtown and everything was super clean and well explained, we had no problems in general. I would definitely stay here again

Very good situation, a few meters from the beach by a pedestrian access. the house had everything you need to spend a few relaxing days both on the beach and in the apartment itself. we went with a dog and the garden is a plus, it also has direct access to the community pool. lana nos indicaciones de playa cercaas para peros que sono really bien. i recommend 100%.

Our stay at Alejandra's apartment in Nerja was simply perfect. The accommodation was impeccably clean, very well furnished and tastefully decorated, which made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The location was excellent, close to everything but in a quiet area ideal for relaxing. Alejandra was an exceptional host: attentive, kind and always willing to help us with any questions or recommendations we needed. His hospitality made our experience in Nerja even more special. We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking to enjoy an unforgettable stay on the Costa del Sol. We hope to be back soon!

The host is an attentive and pleasant person who showed us the entire place in detail. The place is fascinating, spacious, beautiful and everything is very clean and tidy. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need for cooking and more.

We loved our stay at Susann’ place. Everything was perfect especially the stunning view from the terrace and the luxury of the hot tub after a day sightseeing. The area is beautiful and quiet, amidst rolling foothills, a half hours drive to Malaga centre and some lovely small towns closer by(5-10 minutes away. Susann was the person host, kind and helpful but unobtrusive and respectful of our privacy. She gave us lots of useful information of interesting places to go, places to eat and helped us find a doctor when it necessitated during our stay. She truly is a super host and I recommend her apartment one hundred per cent. Thank you for sharing it with us.

We had a very late flight and didn't arrive until 02:00 at the accommodation, but Saachi asked us to message her as soon as we had left the airport and she was waiting for us as we arrived via the Taxi. She showed us around the apartment and then shortly afterwards gave us lots of local information (Bus routes - Restaurants - bike hire - supermarket etc), the accommodation was as advertised, and suited us very well. We walked from our apartment every day, in both directions. Lots of places to eat nearby. Walk into Malaga centre is about 50 minutes, but buses are available. Large TV in the lounge for an end of the day movie after many great days out. Visited various places during out stay, (Gibraltar - Narja - Grenada). Overall a great location for what we wanted to do, not too close to town, but close enough for commuting. Would definitely stay again. Saachi was easy to contact and friendly.

Our stay was 10 stars . Ben has been kind, close and professional. The incredible apartment, perfect, with a spectacular view from the double terrace. Definitely a place with idyllic location and our option number one if we return to La Alcaidesa. Thank you Ben!

My parents, who are in their late 60s, stayed here and had a wonderful experience. The place was very comfortable for them, and communication with the host was smooth and easy. They weren’t very familiar with the Airbnb system or things like parking cards, but the host was very helpful and made everything easy for them. Most of all, the location is perfect—right in the center, which made sightseeing super convenient. Highly, highly recommend this place!

The apartment is incredibly well appointed and very clean. Whether coffee machines, kitchen utensils or washing machine everything is there. There are also 2 small chairs for the beach. The beach is not even 5 minutes away. Bars and restaurants are also close. We were very pleased.

The apartment is very comfortable and safe. It has everything you need for a pleasant stay. It is a new built with spacious private parking in the garage under the building. City centre is located on the same street level (no stairs). Access to the beach across the street (via stairs). There is an elevator in the city centre that takes you to the beach for .50 cents. Located in a residential neigbourhood but close to shops, restaurant and beach. Fran, the caretaker, was of great help and always checking if we were okay. We had a fantastic week! Thank you Fran.
