Guesthouse vacation rentals in Contra Costa County

Hope and Jeff are the best, nicest, most accommodating hosts I've encountered in all of my AirBnB experiences. Due to changes in my work assignment, I had to extend my stay and was by far their longest-staying guest ever (10 weeks). They let me stay right up to the day they began renovations in their guest house. I look forward to staying there again and introducing my wife - I look at them now as friends as much as hosts. A wonderful experience.

Dai was SO helpful! Always responsive, helpful, and so flexible with my check in date/time, and overall stay in general. Beautiful view. Perfect for an individual or couple.

Lovely cottage in a lush backyard urban garden, goats and chickens included. Relaxing nighttime water babbling. Lots of great little details in the cottage. Claw foot tub shower, tidy kitchen, quartersawn redwood surfaces, sleeping spaces just right for my family and me. Super cool loft over kitchen, daybed surrounded by windows, easy to use folding sofa.

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at Laura’s place. The place was super cute and it was along a creek. We loved the eucalyptus trees and the greenery surrounding the cottage. We both enjoyed hot tub after a long day of exploring Berkeley nearby.

Barbara and her Backyard Beach House were wonderful. Best stocked Air B & B we've ever stayed at. Clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Especially convenient for us because we were visiting family a mile away. We'll definitely stay again. Thanks!

Yvette and Mike's cottage is great. Clean and nicely decorated, set in a lovely garden. A wonderful bakery and many coffee places and restaurants within walking distance. Yvette and Mike are wonderful hosts, making sure I had everything I needed. I will definitely stay again next time I am in the East Bay.

Jun and Susan were great hosts and we loved watching the birds in the garden. Such a relaxing and beautiful oasis! The kids were thrilled to find microwave popcorn and hot chocolate, and the tea/ coffee were appreciated too. We are looking forward to visiting again soon !

A trip to visit friends and family. Loved the location’s proximity to BART, cafes, bakeries, groceries, and restaurants. Great walkable neighborhood. I ran in the morning and did walks throughout the day. The house is on a quiet tree-lined street in a vibrant walkable neighborhood. I was able to easily get to everything by walking, BART, and occasionally Uber. The hosts gave me privacy. I felt like I was in my own little retreat in the beautiful garden. Questions were quickly answered. But in fairness it was a very easy place to get quickly cozy in.

Amy was a great host!! There were a few things we had questions about and Amy came right over to assist us. The street is very quiet as it is a cul-de-sac off a more major street. Very comfy bed so we slept well. Their dog Charlie is a real sweetheart. Close by to major street so is not far from many types of good restaurants. We will definitely stay there on our next visit to the bay area!!

Sharla's place worked really well for our family of four for a stay of three days. Peaceful and quiet, just what we needed. Easy communication. Even though the place is small for four the two bedrooms let everyone feel like they had enough space. An adult slept on the futon and it was comfortable enough for a few nights. It would probably be even more comfortable for a kid. Kitchen was well stocked. Loved the location and nearby corner store. Overall, a great place.

This was our second stay at “The Cottage” and we’ve enjoyed both trips. It’s very nice and clean, very quiet, and our hosts were very available and responsive (not that we needed anything.) the amenities were good, anything you needed, and a good size for the two of us and our small dog. There is a nice local hiking trail to the reservoir but the cottage is settled on the hilltop, so any hikes (or walking to the store) can be pretty steep. A good workout if you’re prepared. There are stairs from the parking area, a bit steep if you have any disability issues, but I believe there is another access through the main property if needed (we didn’t.) Very quiet and secluded, saw wild turkeys and deer. Would definitely recommend.

Mira was quick to respond and provided clear directions. Her place is in a quiet residential neighborhood. It’s bright and airy and had everything we needed for our short stay! Will certainly stay again!

Eugenia’s place is in an idyllic location in the Berkeley Hills. It’s a cozy space, beautifully designed with every need anticipated. It’s clean, new and fresh. We’d return in a heartbeat and hope to do so soon.

We stayed for just one night but everything about this Airbnb was perfect. The place was clean, well equipped and super comfortable. Everything you might need was thoughtfully provided. The location was great and getting into the apartment was a breeze. We really enjoyed our short stay and would definitely come back

A quiet and comfortable spot. Unlimited things to do with its proximity to the grand/lakeshore district. I love the view from the backyard and have had a great peaceful stay everytime I’ve booked. Would highly recommend!

We hit the jackpot with Cherry Lane. It was a family visit for us with a bit of sightseeing included, Everything we could wish for in a holiday rental, including Chickens {with fresh eggs} and pets to fuss. We would love to return but our age is against usand the cost of flights from the UK is getting harder to find. Thank you Daneil xx

This was my second stay at Mary's place and it was great again. Beautiful quiet location, very walkable, close to public transportation, the beach and restaurants. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and got to know Mary more on this trip.

Pat+Stefan Place was super cute, private, and overall a great stay. Super clean with pretty much everything you need. Lots of walkable eateries in the area too which was a plus!

First let me start by saying the pictures posted are exactly as the place! It’s street parking but felt safe as a residential neighborhood with plenty of parking. Kananu was very respectful & responsive within minutes if not seconds! Kananu’s place has everything you need to feel right at home. The host gave nice recommendations for what’s in the area for dining, fun activities for all ages & shopping. We had a small issue with the water heater making nose and she was able to get the issue resolved quickly without interfering with our stay. I would definitely recommend Kananu’s place to anyone traveling to the area and definitely will be back for another stay! Her place definitely makes you feel like you’re in your own home.

This was my second stay at Xiaole’s place. Bed is very comfortable, nice linens and pillows. Nice bathroom with large shower. Kitchenette very adequate for my needs. Location borders Pinole which has lots of places to eat or takeout.

Charming garden cottage with great location. Very close to vibrant commercial district yet very quiet and peaceful. Lots of street parking and close to transportation.

A really lovely location in a quiet neighborhood. It was perfect, being private but still close enough to things. It was immaculate. Love having the option with a full kitchen. wonderful to have everything at the ready for coffee or tea in the morning. My favorite part was the little sitting area and also the little bar in the kitchen. Both provided space to visit, which I find so much more inviting than a standard hotel room.
