Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Cómpeta

We had a long stay 6 weeks in feb/march 25. our dog was with us for half of the stay. The house is as described, we had quite unusually wet weather for half of our stay but the climate control in the house worked really well so we could be warm in the cool evenings. The house is very cute and spacious and the roof terrace was amazing on the sunny days. Pia told us about some of the lovely walking routes and we enjoyed many of them. There is an easy walk to Competa ( once you get to the top of the village- which is pretty steep) it is fairly flat with wonderful views of the mountains and the sea. I would recommend Maro beach, it has parking ( in winter) and a small beach bar, lovely clear water where you can hire a Kayak 22 euro for 1 hour where you can see a fab waterfall that is only visible from the sea. Adrian's bar in Competa, great for cocktails, very chic. Pia was very responsive as was Chris who lived close by for any issues. A real home from home feel. we had a great time.

Beautiful villa up in the hills. Our host Pepe was fantastic -meeting us at a pre-arranged location and driving with us directly to the house despite a very late (2am!) flight arrival. The gardens and land around the house are beautifully tended and Pepe took great pride showing us around and we benefitted with fresh grown beans, artichokes, spinach, oranges, lemons….and of course daily eggs from the chickens! It’s approx 15min drive to the nearest towns/supermarkets and 40min into Malaga, but if you want peace and quiet in the middle of stunning scenery then this villa is ideal.

we loved our stay. private and secluded just what we love away from all the noise. the villa was clean and had everything we needed, kitchen was well equipped with all the utensils we possibly could need and even more. would definitely recommend!! thank you!

10/10 location with a gorgeous 5star view. Near excellent restaurants, bars and shops. Not to mention only a 14 minute drive to the clear water beaches of nerja. This Airbnb will give you all of the above with beautiful views in every room of the house to the interior Spanish touch on the inside lovely would be an understatement. Thank you Jaqueline for being a tentative host as well.

We had a fantastic stay at this wonderful house which has been thoughtfully refurbished and decorated! The house had everything we needed and everything was very well thought out. It’s a perfect place for a relaxing escape while still being in good reach of Velez-Malaga and Malaga itself by car. Our hosts were always very helpful, with excellent communication throughout. They took extra care to make sure that we were okay and had everything we needed during the Spain blackout which was very kind! We would happily come back to stay again!!

Dit was de mooiste Airbnb waar we al hebben verbleven! Het uitzicht is ongelofelijk, het is echt prachtig! Het huisje heeft alles wat je nodig hebt, zeker de keukenapparatuur is heel uitgebreid. De communicatie verloopt heel vlot en aangenaam. Wij reisden met een baby en ook dat ging perfect. We kregen een babybedje en een stoel, heel handig. Wij komen zeker nog eens terug, het is er zalig. Ook de wandelingen in de omgeving en het dorpje Acebuchal vonden we zeker de moeite. Danku voor de fijne vakantie!

What a wonderful time we had at Casueña. Alicia and Jorge were so welcoming, helpful, friendly, and fun. They met us at the villa and showed us everything we needed to know, and then were always on hand for anything else we needed. The villa was so well equiped, including basic food, tea, coffee, and fruit to get us going. Also, on the first morning, Alicia and Jorge gave us a basket of eggs from their own chickens! We loved the beautiful furniture, artwork and ornaments which all added to Casueña's charm. Since the weather was hot we spent most of our time in the stunning garden and lovely pool. Beautiful mature plants, shrubs and trees made the garden feel magical, as did the many birds who visited including a familly of swallows. A short trip (about 2 miles) down to the village of Santa Rosalía provided a good supermarket (open every day), cafes, and restaurants. Thank you Alicia and Jorge - you are very special people and we will definitely be back to visit you and Casueña.

Great location view of small streets. Close and walkable to everything. The apartment was beautiful very nicely decorated.

This is a great apartment in close proximity to many cafes, restaurants, bars, and main attractions. It is clean, spacious, bright and airy. Air conditioning keeps the entire apartment very cool. Lots of towels and beach towels there. Beds are very comfy. No noise at night. Juan left recommendations for many places which was very useful. He responds to questions very quickly and is very helpful and nice. The parking spot was very convenient as we rented a car for a night to go down to coast. We also rented electric bikes overnight which is a great way to get around and could lock them up safely in the garage. For our older teens going out at night it was perfect as it is only approximately a 10 minute walk to get home and it feels very safe. I would highly recommend this place.

Tengo que agradecer a Denise y a Gary la maravillosa estancia que hemos tenido en su casa. Es bonita, extremadamente limpia y cómoda. No hemos echado en falta absolutamente nada y ellos son una pareja estupenda. Son increíblemente amables y muy detallistas. Ya estamos deseando volver.

My family really enjoyed our stay here while in Granada. The location was great. Very close to the city center and the Granada Cathedral. And Fani's place had plenty of room for my family of five to spread out. Everyone got their own room! And the kids loved having a private elevator that went right up to the penthouse. We also made great use of the large patio space. Check in was super easy. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. If we ever make it back to Granada again, we would definitely choose to stay here.

El Departamento estaba tal cual en las fotos, nosotros nos comunicamos con Melanie quien fue muy amable en todo momento, nos recomendó lugares dentro de Torremolinos y fueron experiencias muy buenas. Ella fue muy amable y el departamento tiene una vista espectacular. De volver a Torremolinos no dudaría en volver a reservar con ellas. Es muy completo el equipamiento y lo esencial para estar en el departamento lo tiene, también cuenta son sombrillas, sillitas y toallones para playa. Está super equipado.

الإقامة كانت ممتازة، الغرفة مطلة على البحر مباشرة والمنظر كان رائع. المضيف كان متعاون جداً، رتب لي المواصلات من وإلى المطار وكان سريع الاستجابة لأي استفسار. أنصح بالإقامة هنا وبشدة.

Very nice apartment with roof top terrace and great views of the sea. The host was very attentive and we even had an early check in which was a real bonus. Apartment was a bit out of the way but bus stop walkable and so easy to use to get to the marina. You need the 110 M which is 1 euro 60. Apartment was spotless, coffee, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel all provided. Plenty of fresh towels and beach towels. The only negative is the fact that there’s building work going on so the roof terrace wasn’t that private unless you put the umbrella up. Overall though we had a great stay and it was very peaceful. Supermarket is at the bottom of the road so very convenient for shopping.

The villa is as it looks in the photos - beautiful and very well appointed. It is clean and has everything you would need in terms of cooking utensils, etc. Simon and Laura were very helpful and proactive, and the instructions were detailed and clear (although the PDF is different to the Air BnB manual, which I think was a little out of date in terms of restaurants etc). Dandini is a little treasure. He's always around and ready to greet you as you get home. He is friendly in his own way. A couple of small drawbacks - firstly, although the villa is nicely private, it is a good 15-20 mins walk to the top of Competa (meaning most restaurants and shops are more like 30 mins away). It is a tricky-ish walk during the day because of the very steep drive, the cars are quite fast, and there is very little shade. At night it is more comfortable but the cars still feel a bit dodgy. Secondly, the pool is not heated but I found it fine once I'd braved getting in! Thank you for the great stay.

Vi hade en fantastisk vecka tillsammans med familjen i Gittes hus. Huset ligger i en underbar och rofylld omgivning med vacker utsikt över både berg och hav. Trädgården är välskött och frodig, med många fruktträd och gott om plats för både avkoppling och aktiviteter. Vi uppskattade verkligen möjligheten att spela boule, bordtennis eller bara sitta på en bänk och njuta av utsikten. Huset var mycket bekvämt och fullt utrustat med allt vi behövde. Köket hade alla redskap och maskiner man kan önska sig för att laga mat tillsammans. Vardagsrummet bjöd in till gemenskap med ett urval av familjespel för både barn och vuxna. Den fina poolen användes flitigt varje dag, och kvällarna avslutades ofta med grillning på terrassen – en stor och trivsam plats där hela familjen kunde samlas för middagar och samtal i solnedgången. Vi kan varmt rekommendera Gittes hus till andra familjer som söker en avkopplande och trivsam semester i vackra omgivningar.

Zeer vriendelijk ontvangen door Helen. Locatie rustig en prachtig. Leuke tips gekregen om te doen en goede restaurants. Helen en Alex zijn erg aardig en behulpzaam. Ze hebben nog een huis op dezelfde berg die ook zeer de moeite waard is Airbnb.com/h/casacwtch

This is a true hidden gem, easily the house with the best view I’ve ever been. The hosts are friendly and responsive. They were also very flexible concerning the checkin and checkout time. Would surely recommend this place!

Excellent logement, avec une vue incroyable, un jardin ravissant, et des espaces ouverts agréables. On recommande à 100%. Notre séjour en Andalousie restera un des plus beaux voyages.

Unser zweiwöchiger Aufenthalt in Andalusien war sehr angenehm, und unsere Unterkunft sowie die Betreuung durch José haben dazu wesentlich beigetragen. Josés und Daniels Kommunikation war von Anfang an ausgezeichnet und sehr zuverlässig. Er war stets erreichbar und hat sich bemüht, alle unsere Fragen schnell und hilfreich zu beantworten. Man merkte, dass ihm das Wohl seiner Gäste am Herzen liegt. Die Unterkunft war wie beschrieben und bot einen guten Ausgangspunkt für unsere Erkundungen in Andalusien. Wir haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen. Josés Engagement und seine Bemühungen, unseren Aufenthalt so reibungslos wie möglich zu gestalten, waren wirklich lobenswert. Wir können diese Unterkunft und José als Gastgeber durchaus empfehlen und würden bei einer erneuten Reise nach Andalusien gerne wieder hier wohnen. Vielen Dank, José!

Gorgeous villa set in peaceful surroundings. The pictures available on the site do not do the place justice! It's a big villa with little secluded areas for relaxing. We loved it. Super clean and the kitchen has everything and more required to cook any meal. We loved the stay and the local town of Competa has some great restaurants too. The pool and lounge area with terraced seating area was great.

Fuimos muy bien recibidos, Esther nos estaba esperando en el centro de Frigiliana para acompañarnos hasta la casa. La casa súper limpia, ordenada y con todo lo necesario y más. Nos dejaron un vino y avocados en la heladera (riquísimos). Secador y planchita de pelo, botiquín con primero auxilios, todo!!! Lo único para comentar que si no eres un conductor experimentado no te lo recomiendo, ya que el camino hasta llegar a la casa por momentos es estrecho, peligroso con cornisa de lado. Todo lo demás un 10!!! Definitivamente volveríamos!!!
