Monthly Rentals in Columbia-Shuswap A

Good place to stay on the road between Calgary and Vancouver. Very big basement apartment which could serve as a base if going skiing to Golden. Everything was clean and we had a good night sleep after a 12 hour drive. We encountered only 1 problem which is not affecting my 5 star review, but it is very important. I will just mention for people sensitive to fragrances (like myself) there was an electric air refreshener plugged in every room in the apartment which created huge problems for me. Had to remove all of those, leave entrance door opened for 2 hours and turn on all the fans in the apartment to try to get the smell out. Also everything in the apartment is highly scented (shampoos, detergents) so bring your own if staying or ask the host to accommodate you before you come so there is no unpleasant surprises. We travel a lot and it is an unwritten rule to get unscented products this is where this could improve. Again this applies to 1% of people but still...

My husband and I stayed at John's cabin for a week in April. Everything about the cabin was perfect! Very well appointed kitchen complete with Keurig, pods, electric kettle, plenty of pots & pans, dishware, wine openers, full refrigerator, dishwasher, etc. It was immaculately clean and comfortable. There were directions to a walking trail right from the cabin. The longer route was right at 2 miles. The views are lovely with lots of elk and deer around. The town of Golden was about a 15 minute drive with a nice riverwalk, shops, grocery store, etc. Also close by was Moonraker Trails Recreation Site with additional hiking trails. The location is surrounded by National Parks only a short drive away (Glacier, Yoho, Banff). I would highly recommend a stay here and hope to be back in the future!

Very cool house design. River out Back was amazing. Great fire pit and bbq. The neighbors house was a bit too close for our liking. People Around didnt seem very friendly. Furniture is a little dated. But the house was cool. And the host was responsive!

This stay was amazing, the cabin is beautiful and the wood burning stove was a highlight for us. Gili was great and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay great.
