House vacation rentals in City of Carlisle

The caravan was tastefully decorated, sparkling clean and right by the little pond - definitely the best spot in the holiday park! It had all the equipment we needed and there was lots to do for the children around the holiday park as well. Can't fault it really..

The apartment is as pictured, comfortbale with beautiful views. It was the perfect spot for exploring the Lakes. There is also lots on offer at Whitbarrow Holiday Village making it a great place to stay.

Lovely house in a great location near Lake Windermere. We visited with younger children and there was lots to keep them entertained. Although local play parks and the town of Windermere were not in walking distance to the house, this did not make any difference to our holiday as we would have driven with the children anyway. Brockhole park and estate being a great local spot for the family. The access to the local health spa was a great addition to the house.

Our group of 7 adults and 3 kids really enjoyed our stay. The place was cozy, comfortable and had everything we needed. It provided the perfect getaway and we will definitely be back.

Nice lodge. Site is very packed with lodges, but that's maybe to be expected with the sort of site. Hot Tub was a big hit and reliable. A couple of minor issues: some beds not ready, and boiler packing in one day. Both sorted quickly and without issue, not really affecting stay at all. Being able to respond to unexpected issues is a key factor and this host did that well.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Would 100% recommend staying at the Riverain Coach House. We recently stayed with some friends and enjoyed local walks close to the house, a good selection of local pubs nearby but would recommend pre-booking to avoid disappointment. However with Penrith and shops being only 10 minutes away, it wasn't a problem. The house has been done up beautifully and is really well equipped. Christine was great, providing lots of helpful information before our stay and the welcome hamper went down a treat. Thank you so much, we would 100% stay again.

Beatiful and relaxing space, can hold a lot of people without getting on top of each other. Great for large groups of people with plenty of flexibility for gathering and privacy.

Beautiful house in a great location a short walk from Keswick. Modern and high end finish to the house and had everything we needed for our stay. We visit Keswick on a regular basis and this has been one of our best visits yet!

I stayed at Moon cottage for a weekend with my husband and two friends. Matthew is a really responsive host and great communicator, we were well informed and found check-in easy. The house was fully equipped, comfortable, clean, tidy, and we all slept so well. The views of surrounding hills are lovely. The location was perfect for us, the main high street with all the pubs, shops, and restaurants is only a short walk away, but still enough of a distance to retreat and enjoy the peace and quiet in the evenings. We’re all looking forward to coming back and staying at Moon cottage again in future.

The house was as described. Very quiet on an evening. Great location for walking in the lakes following our walk up Scarfell Pike and Ennerdale. It’s not particularly a tourist location but a great base! All locals really friendly and Everything was expected and described.

We loved our stay at Greg & Steph’s place. We came to Windermere for my 30th birthday and this was the perfect setting for our stay. Every room is lovely and to a high standard. Although you can’t park right outside the house we found free parking just down the road. We messaged Greg & Steph a few times before our trip and they were super responsive and helpful. Great stay- would definitely recommend anyone. Ideal location!

A great stay from beginning to end. Clear instructions. Easy to follow and arrived in plenty of time to assist with our planning. Parking was a bonus and very welcome. The apartment was spotless, nice bottle and chocs to welcome us, together with milk for a brew. Great location, right in the middle of all the bars and restaurants. Bed was very comfy. A beautiful house which has been very tastefully renovated, we especially loved the main stairs. Plenty of space and facilities for 8 of us. Efficient log burner which heated the living room very quickly. We stayed over new year and had hoped to see the northern lights, but saw plenty of stars instead. I would advise arriving for the first time in daylight as the road is very narrow with sheep wandering across.

Very happy with our stay, perfect location to stay for going walking in the Lake District and the log heated hot tub was excellent after an early morning of walking! Thank you 🙂

Rosie’s place was definitely one for the list to come back to. It was very clean, warm and had everything you needed. The garden was nice and enclosed so suited our little border terrier well. The decor is lovely, definitely taking a few ideas home … particularly the bathroom. The wood burner was a great cosy addition to come back to after a walk. A great village location, so quiet and peaceful.

Was as described and cleaned to a high standard. Games room and jacuzzi was a great addition too! Will definitely stay in the future again!

We had a really pleasant stay at Helen's place. The property was in a great location with a easy 20 minute stroll along the railway walk into the town centre. We found having use of the garage really helpful for us with our son as we could park his pushchair up in there overnight without the hassle of putting it up and down. We never moved the car from the drive in three days which was a welcome change. The views from the garden were amazing and perfect for an evening tipple watching the sunset.

This house was stunning. Close to town centre but also quiet. The pictures are a true representation of this house and we as a friend group will be back !!

We had a great time staying. Carolines house is lovely and had everything we needed for a long weekend. Throughout our stay there was a problem with hot tub which was out of Caroline's hands but she made sure to compensate with a meal on her which was very much appreciated. Lots of lovely little touches and gifts around the house. Would definitely come back and see this place in the warmer weather thanks for having us.

Amazing 300+ years old Grade-2 listed house with fantastic feel still retained. On top Joyce and Lucy are amazing hosts. My 6 year old even struck up a great conversation with Lucy and they started playing a board game of sorts :-) They always kept us informed, and ensured the house is kept warm all time. Easily accessible to some local villages, the beach and also just half an hour away from the Lake districts. Only point I will make is if they can offer a small kitchen facility that will be great for families. Having said that -it wasn't a problem at all as beverage, cutlery and crockeries were all provided. Plus free milk, juice etc. And we actually enjoyed some wonderful takeaways who deliver within 30 mins. Jasmine Palace - the chinese was great.
