Vacation rentals with a fireplace in City of Carlisle

First Cottage is beautifully situated, incredibly quiet with stunning views. Cottage was comfortably furnished and immaculately clean. We had everything we needed for our stay in generous amounts, nothing felt skimped or compromised. Janice and David were perfect, generous hosts, responding promptly to queries without ever being intrusive.

Fabulous home from home, within walking distance of the town, great local pubs with top class food. Lots of Bus routes to some great places and beautiful walks, what a great place many thanks for letting us stay

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old Map Shop a property full of character and every need catered for. It was perfect as our final stay whilst walking the Cumbria Way. Just lovely, thank you.

Perfect location. 10/10. I did not want to leave. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, unbelievable views, superb location, easy access to logs for fire with which my husband was delighted. 100% would return... tomorrow if it was possible! Our dog (border terrier) had a fantastic time too and was very interested in the wee hedgehog who appeared to be living in the bushes outside and the free range chickens!! There was also a free range doggo popping round to the garden in the evening. Vigilance/ Lead/ supervision was a must for our super inquisitive pup.

Great place to stay! We were 2 couples with 2 babies and we had a fantastic time. The host even provided a travel cot bed. Highly recommended!!

Went to a friend's wedding at Kinmont House and Haylie's property is super nearby and perfect for catching up with other wedding guests. I was designated driver and it was close enough for me to easily do a couple of runs saving us any hassle with taxis. It's a spacious property with board games and a large kitchen - great for a bigger group. Plus there were two irons and a handheld steamer - so everyone was able to arrive at the wedding crease-free! The views from the front-facing rooms are just lovely and I would definitely consider going back to explore the local area.

Ann's cottage was amazing as ever, 2nd stay here and it won't be the last, beautiful village and the muddy duck cafe is a must, brand new renovation with stunning outside space, great for breakfast and lunch, and the odd fellows pub great for evening meals, the bed in the cottage is one of the best I've slept on and Ann has thought of every possible detail and the garden is perfect for relaxing in too. A lovely, very well equipped house with a very nice view of the surroundings. The owners live next door and instructions make sense when you arrive. the house is called Hadrians View. freshly made scones with cream and jam waiting for us in the fridge and a bottle of wine. Very kind and very much appreciated. Would live to come back here in the future.

Had a lovely couple of nights here. Asked for recommendations for restaurant and takeaways before hand and both we chose were very good. Both Marcelle and Alan are very friendly, as are the dogs! mentioned we were staying for my husbands birthday and without asking banners were put up in the room. thank you. Will remember this place if we are ever in that area again.

We stayed here as we were attending a wedding near by. Free parking nearby was very useful.The location of the Airbnb was ideal and very central.Amazing value for money!Even though opposite Wetherspoons and having a central location, it was very quiet and peaceful.The accommodation is larger than expected which came as a lovely surprise.Our beds were super comfy and our host went above and beyond to help with this.There were three of us staying (one couple and friend) so both rooms were made into double beds.The one with the singles was turned a huge double.Super comfy and a fab nights sleep. Bedrooms really spacious also.The kitchen, dining, living area was lovely. Kitchen had everything we could have needed. Free WiFi was also provided (signal can be a bit hit and miss in keswick so this was ideal).Our host was really easy to contact and was responsive.We had no issues and we only contacted to say we arrived and departed .Many thanks again for a lovely stay and would stay again.

We had a great stay at Ian’s place for two nights. The home is very comfortable and quiet yet next to the High St in Hexham. There are lots of extras provided in the house that makes it feel like a home. Everything is on one level which makes it an easy stay and there are two good sized bathrooms. Note to enter the main bedroom you must walk through one of the bathrooms. The other room has an ensuite bathroom. Ian is a great host and gave us lots of helpful information about check in etc.

This was one of those places that you would wish to keep a secret. The views are breathtaking, the area is quiet, perfect for a retreat for people willing to charge their batteries from their busy lives. It's a bit off the beaten track, so you need a car or a taxi from the train station to get there, but you can rest from the busy touristic towns of the Lake District. Jeanette was a very discreet and lovely host. She furbished the place with great care. Thank you Jeanette for hosting us, your place was a dream come true!

Really nice location, 5 minute walk from town. Was a really lovely stay despite the weather we had, lots of maps and walking guides in the front room and the kitchen came fully equipped with stuff to wash up.Our only recommendation would be to exchange the pillows for firmer ones. Enjoyed our stay at Kate's place for a second visit. Has all the amenities we needed and we can feel very relaxed there. Kate was very helpful with our booking. She dealt very promptly with one minor maintenance issue. She's a thoughtful host and there were fresh flowers, milk and biscuits to welcome us. We enjoyed chatting to Kate. Beautiful property, excellent location. Would love to have stayed longer. Would have preferred the garden to be more private and secure, but this didnt spoil our stay and we had a lovely time . Kitchen was well equipped and the property was bigger than it appeared on the photos!

Truly an incredible place to stay at over the weekend. Very walkable but felt private. The views are stunning, the photo's do not do it justice. Nick was extremely accommodating and responsive and was very clear in all instructions. He even offered us a later check-out. Would definitely like to come back at some point as there's so much to do in and around the house. You will not be disappointed by staying at this place - it's the best booking I've ever made on this app. Thanks again Nick!

The place was absolutely stunning. We were awestruck by the gorgeous interior. Visitors can expect a fantastic time staying in the accommodation. However, having a vehicle to travel is a must. There is parking available. Indoor heating (radiators) is provided in every room and common areas. Fireplace was used during our stay in the winter season. The host is very responsive and friendly. While the location provided is accurate. The drive up to the accommodation can erroneous as google map did not consider the closures at Forest Drive. Hence, it will be good to check with the host properly.

Really brilliant place. Lovely house and great amenities. Really well stocked (unusual to have such good wine glasses!!). Well def use again!

We've stayed at other places in the past, but none have given off the positive vibes we experienced here. The care and attention given to the extensive grounds is truly exemplary, right down to the precise way the grass was mown. I never seem to get a good night's sleep except in my own bed, yet here I slept like a lamb for three nights straight! Great beds and luxurious bedding. Finally, the cherry on the cake has to be the privacy and tranquility.
