In 2022 the Byzantine home underwent a comprehensive reconstruction under the supervision of archaeologists. The original construction materials were meticulously used, preserving the structure of the home, which is a part of a castle built approximately 950 years ago.The main bedroom features queen-sized bed and a full-sized bed on an elevated wooden structure that was meticulously rebuilt to its original state. For this reason, internally it has the form of a castle village, built during the Genoese period. The house in which I invite you to stay is located in the center of the village, in picturesque streets. The settlement with few inhabitants offers, due to its prominent location, the opportunity to get to know many other places nearby.

Kampos village is only 5 km south of Chios Town. It is the closest village to the airport and one of the few places in Chios that preserves its medieval character. Kampos has recently been proclaimed by the Ministry of Culture as a historical site. The historical course of the village begins from the Byzantine times, where most of the mansions were built.
