Family-friendly vacation rentals in Chiavari

We had a wonderful stay at this unique home. Never stayed in a castle before...and it was awesome! It is full of history and charm, with a family feel. We spent a good amount of time out on the stone deck enjoying wine and the great views. We also enjoyed simply walking around the inside and looking at the old paintings and decorations. It is great when an Airbnb goes beyond being just a place to sleep and instead becomes a big part of the overall travel experience. The castle is modernized in the important ways, but the host does go out of his way to portray it accurately in the full description. Also, it is a bit outside of town and so it may be best to have a vehicle during your visit. The host was extremely responsive when I had a couple of questions, and the arrival/check in process was made easy with an in-person meeting when we arrived. We also had an amazing dinner at the restaurant they recommended. Overall, this was an exceptional Airbnb and I would highly recommend it.

Fantastic stay, it felt like being at home! The location was perfect, very central and accessible to sightseeing and restaurants. The host, Angela, was very friendly and super responsive, with great greeting and shared a lot of suggestions. Everything went very smoothly and no issues. Highly recommended :)

Perfect apartment for our vacation of 6 days. Everything was like description! Albert response very quickly and helped wirth everything, The apartment was very close to beach and city center, also the apartment was large, very clean, the kitchen is full equiped. You will not regret if you choose this acomodation!

This apartment is located at the Corniglia bus stop - so it’s easy to take the bus up and skip those 377 steps if you want! The apartment has a lovely terrace with beautiful views of the Mediterranean, comfortable furniture, and air conditioner units in every room. The only thing to be aware of is: if you like to shower, that is a bit difficult in the jacuzzi as the ceilings are low (but if you like bathing it’s a cozy tub with a cool sunroof which opens for ventilation)

Hands-down, this was the best Airbnb experience of my life! They went above and beyond to create the most welcome and inviting home for us to dwell in. Their house was thought of on every detail and in creative ways decorated like an artist! The family was so sweet. the wildlife and the beauty of the area cannot be described. It is a really truly magical and wonderful Place. They had food awaiting us, craft sausage, and a big block of Parmesan cheese, and bread awaiting us along with the bottle of wine, it made for an amazing snack and breakfast as we came in late that night. We didn’t want to leave, and we hope to come back soon! Their care and generosity of this host is unmatched. Thanks!!🙏🏻

This was a gem of a find. The house was more beautiful than the photos in the ad. The view from the living room was amazing. The space was great, with lots of outdoor space available too. Hosts Rosella and Roberto were amazing. They waited for us at the road junction and greated us very warmly. They showed us the property and remained contactable at all times. Simple breakfast, with milk, bread, juice and coffee were provided. Roberto drove us to and from the nearby towns for the 2 days we were there. Overall, it was a great stay at the lovely house and with great hosts.

Without any doubt the most special Airbnb I have ever stayed at. My multigenerational family came here after a rough year and it was a tonic. It is not often in one’s life you have the opportunity to sit and look out at views like that hour after hour - the towns across the bay, the boats coming and going (including a submarine), the lights coming on in the evening… It is so much better than any words or photos could express. The swims were also outstanding. Brian was delightful and so helpful with recommendations. We will be back

Very central accommodation, clean, equipped with all amenities, equipped kitchen. Great self check-in experience, with clear directions. Super efficient and very kind host! :)

Beautiful, the furniture is arranged, it needs a darker curtain for more privacy It is about ten minutes away from the center, easy walking without children because there are stairs and flights, but the place is amazing

Gianni’s place is absolutely wonderful—exactly as described, and then some. The view is truly breathtaking and a joy to wake up to every day. Gianni and Antonelli are fantastic hosts: warm, responsive, and incredibly helpful with local tips and anything we needed. Although the house is in Caste, it’s a perfect base for exploring Cinque Terre. Just a quick 10-minute drive to La Spezia, where you can easily park and hop on a train to any of the five towns. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with easy access to all the beauty of the region!

What a fantastic place. Paolo met us at the train station to help us with our luggage and guide us to the apartment. Gave us great recommendations on how to spend our 3 days. Honestly I’m not sure I can imagine a better place in Riomaggiore. The flat is on the top floor with a great terrace that is shaded in the evening looking right down on the cove with a beautiful view of the water. We had happy hour up there every night. Everything was clean and modern. Having 2 levels created a lot of space in the apartment. Would stay there again in a heartbeat if coming back to Riomaggiore.

We were overwhelmed at the views from every window in the house! It was so romantic to lay in bed and watch the moonrise! The unique and quirky home was endearing and cozy! We loved the bench outside the front door where we sat every morning and greeted the hikers on the trail to Monterossa! We met new people every day! At the end of day after taking in wine and food it was clearly a much more labor intensive hike! But so worth it to us! I highly recommend no rolling bags ! Back pack if you can! Katia also provided plenty of toilet paper and shower soap and towels!! She did not skimp on anything! Very appreciative of that!

We had a wonderful stay. Communication was smooth and the area just a dream! So green, so relaxed - we were able to relax completely and enjoyed it very much. We'll be back, thanks for everything.

Just look out of the window and enjoy the VIEW! Staying at Angelos Penthouse really was a brillant family holiday. Sitting on the terrace, enjoying life with our own private pool for the kids on the roof. Nothing more to say. 😃 Angelo and Tommaso were perfect hosts with some really good tips. We will.come back

Laura is a simply exquisite host. Since the booking, she has been lavish with advice, from restaurants, to boat schedules, to areas to visit. Vezzano, for us, was a perfect starting point: in a few minutes we were at the station, from which we moved comfortably to the Cinque Terre and to nearby Lerici. The apartment is on top of a promontory, in a very quiet area, with an outdoor patio and a private pool. This is a large room with a bed, sofa, fully equipped kitchen area, and bathroom. In addition, covered parking is provided for the car. In short, you couldn't ask for more. We will definitely be back!

A truly unforgettable experience! Staying on this boat in La Spezia was one of the absolute highlights of our entire trip. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, kind, and helpful from start to finish. They went above and beyond—not only making us feel welcome but also taking us on the most amazing day boat trip. It was an incredible way to explore the coast and truly a core memory from our time in Italy. They also gave fantastic recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area. If you’re looking for a unique, warm, and memorable stay with the best views, this is it. We can’t recommend it highly enough.

Great stay at Daniela's. The view from the terrace is really amazing. Daniela is super accommodating and recommended good places that she was able to book for us. As in most beachfront homes in the area, the train passes just behind the house which is convenient for visiting the surrounding villages but causes a little noise pollution.

Everything went very well at Lino's, the accommodation is as described, clean and very quiet, as well as parking and garage on site. Close to the city center, restaurants, entertainment and the train station and bus shuttles to get to Portofino, Camogli and all the wonderful places on the Ligurian coast in a few minutes. Very nice place to relax for a few days.
