Barun is "Jack of all Trades". He is a registered Guide for the National Park, Boat owner, occasional Chef, engineer, Tent Mogul, hardworking, workaholic, but most importantly a good guy. The camp site was amidst a tea garden by the mighty river Dibru (Opposite Dibru Saikhowa National Park). For ablutions the facilities of Barun's Tea garden staff quaters (20mtr away) was easily accessible. In the exactly 20 hrs that I spent at Barun's - We walked 3-4 hours in National Park and saw birds - Blue breasted Kingfisher, Hornbill & Mandarin Duck Banyan Mangrove with Orchids and creepers Snake - crate Organic farming on the river island - that's where our veggies came from At night I could hear the fishes jumping out of water (count the number of times it happens to fall asleep quick) Food was home cooked by Barun's parents. It was one of the highlights of the stay. Must must try local chutney. (5/5 *****)

1729 Digboi is a fantastic getaway. The cleanliness is off the charts. The host is very very helpful and responsive. The property in itself is very new, but the maintenance and thought applied to the aesthetics and the amenities, and how well everything is put together is just mindblowing. I deeply respect the amount of care that must have gone into putting this place up as a guest-friendly AirBnB. We loved every minute of it. I travelled with my husband and my two kids (aged 6 yrs and 3 yrs). We stayed for about 3 nights. Ishan did everything in his capacity to make sure we were comfortable and made every single of those days count! It was a very nice stay. In case you order in food, giving directions to the delivery folks is a little hassle given that you don't know the place much yourself - so make sure you know how to direct the delivery folks. There are few veg food options in Digboi, so you might want to carry some ready to makes with you, as the kitchen here is great! :)
