Monthly Rentals in Charleston Township

We had a great weekend at the Curtis Meyer House. The house was in great shape and we could tell how much work and love Doug put into the restoration. Our family enjoyed unplugging and experiencing the home as it was designed. We gathered in the large family room, played games, worked on puzzles, played the piano, read and just looked out the huge windows at the nature outside. The fireplace was great to have when it got chilly in the evening. The property is gorgeous, and can imagine it being even more spectacular in late spring and summer when everything is in bloom. We loved walking in the backyard and viewing the home from different perspectives. We saw deer come up to the home at dusk one night and enjoyed watching all the birds that flock to the feeders that Doug stocked. It was a perfect stay for reconnecting as a family and relaxing. A great experience.

I highly recommend staying at Tom and Julie’s airbnbs. I’m not from Kalamazoo and had to find housing for my summer internship. Tom and Julie made sure I was well taken care of from the moment I inquired their listing. The house is exactly as pictured - clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The location is perfect, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood yet close to a lot of good restaurants and attractions. My favorite is the outdoor community space with a small garden. If I had another internship in Kalamazoo, I would book this place again in a heartbeat. Thank you Tom and Julie!

This beautiful old house is a gem - it's as comfortable as your favorite pair of jeans. And the lakefront is just so special - clean, well kept, and inviting. We have been going for over 10 years and love it today as much as the first time we visited.

Spacious apartment close to 900 s.f. Cozy, private, great outdoor seating area with umbrella and seat cushions is out of view of the quiet street. Safe, walkable area. Lake is under 5 minutes away. W/D in unit a big plus. The large kitchen provided basic needs. Great shower pressure, soft water was hot almost instantly in the bathroom. Firm bed, flat pillows gave me the best sleep I’ve had in months although bed squeaks with every movement. We heard almost no foot traffic from the living space above. That may be different if there was a full house upstairs, but during our stay we only saw one other car. Plenty of space for hanging clothes (2 areas in the bedroom & 2 in the bathroom) and 10 plus drawers. Leave the outside light on if coming back after dark to walk across the grass from parking area back to the apartment. Vacuum, broom and cleaning supplies provided. Tammy is a wonderful host making sure we had everything we needed. We have already recommended her listings.
