Family-friendly vacation rentals in Chalfont Saint Peter

We had a wonderful Christmas week at Flagpole Cottage. The hosts' home was clean, welcoming and extremely well-equipped. We had everything necessary for preparing family feasts, having a wood fire, plenty of bathrooms and comfortable beds. Robin and Francine even left a beautifully decorated real Christmas tree for us the enjoy (and put our presents under), a very thoughtful touch. We enjoyed the hot tub and trampoline (we were lucky with the weather, cold but not rainy) as well as the local walks to pubs. We bought our Christmas turkey (ordered in advance) at the fabulous Flower Farm shop, which is nearby and is a great source for all things edible. Robin and Francine's guide to local amenities and activities is thorough and quite useful. Robin was very attentive and open to queries but everything was so clearly laid out we didn't really have any questions. One last thing - the gardens are exceptional - even in December! I was in awe - especially the topiary. The old yew trees! xx

Great area of London for restaurants and markets. Easy access to Tube at Algate East and other rail at Liverpool Station. Val’s place was homey and clean and lots of room. Kitchen really well equipped. Views of the skyline beautiful, especially at night. A wonderful place to stay in the eastern end of London.

Carol Anne and Kelly were great hosts, kind and helpful. The apartment was very nice, equipped with everything we needed and very comfortable. The location is excellent, very close to the subway and buses, the neighborhood is great. We had a great time, thaks a lot.

Debbie’s place has an excellent location close to train stations, cafes, and it is also walkable to some attractions. The flat was very clean and comfortable for two people. We managed to get our suitcases up and down the long and narrow staircase with no issue. Debbie gave us helpful recommendations and was responsive before and during our trip. I would definitely stay again at Debbie’s when in London.

Absolute lovely place in a quiet area of London. The flat is exactly as described and it has everything you need for a short or long stay. Totally recommended, would love to come back!

We had a fantastic stay! The apartment was clean, cosy and exactly as described. The location was perfect – quiet, yet close to everything we needed. Janet was a wonderful host: friendly, helpful and easy to reach. The bedrooms were comfortable, and we really enjoyed relaxing in the whirlpool after long days out. Wow - Beautiful and tranquil place to stay with absolutely stunning gardens. Perfect place to stay to purely relax with the enjoyment of a private hot tub to use throughout , firepit and loungers in the gardens to use. Our dog loved this place and had so much to explore , the house supplies dog treats / and a dog bed , all the little touches were all noticed to make our stay as comfortable as possible! Keith / Jean were very communicative, and helpful during check in. The beds were very comfortable, each room pristine and decorated to a high standard , even provide slip on shoes and gowns to access the hot tub which was really handy! the continental breakfast supplied was lovely . We would love to come back and stay again , would recommend to anyone it is pure bliss, inside and outside , thank you!

Beautiful home and a lovely stay. It was spotlessly clean with all the amenities provided, TV with various subscriptions, a cosy bedroom and access to the garden and fields. Very good communication with the hosts and easy check in. A lovely touch was fresh eggs provided and milk in the fridge to help myself to. I was cycling and this was a perfect country stay to rest and recover. 5* :)

Amazing London flat! BEST check in (with John) we’ve ever had at Airbnbs- he is amazing & u will want him to stay & socialize after he aptly explains home features & mini instructions! Public transit is close & walkable from flat which is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood Highly recommend staying here if you want to explore London!

The bungalow was a lovely place to stay. We were staying in Watford as we were going to the Harry Potter experience. It was close by. One day it was raining we weren’t sure what to do with the kids we ended up going to climb up in a shopping mall near by. It’s also local to supermarkets. The place was spotless clean bedding and towels etc. pull out bed for the children. We were going to take our dog and then didn’t because of the long drive but I wish we had. Jan looks after dogs like a doggy day care. Our little dog would have loved it.

Tracey's place was perfect for ourselves, our daughter and two dogs. A surprisingly private and peaceful location, yet within easy reach of facilities, pubs, restaurants and (important for us) Newbury Show-ground. Comfortable, well appointed and presented accommodation, with a generous welcome pack. Great for our dogs too, with a secure outdoor area. Would definitely be happy to come again. Thanks.

Chris and Gillian welcomed us as we arrived and were delightful hosts. The quality of the accommodation was very good and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and exploring the surrounds. No hesitation in recommending this facility to others. Many thanks.

Jenny was an amazing host, greeted us on arrival and gave a brief but informative run down. The surroundings and location is beautiful, felt right at home and at one with the peaceful natural surroundings, watching the ducks, dragonflies and various species of birds by the stream you can lookout the doors from the living room was amazing. Local pub requires booking if you want food but is only a 5minute walk. Beautiful nature trails on the doorstep. Reading 20minute drive Pangbourne 10minute drive, would advise going to the swan pub. Overall we loved our stay and would love to return, really good value for money for what you get and a high end finish

Had another great stay at the eco lodge. Ideally placed outside Wallingford in lovely countryside and convenient for the Ridgeway and associated places. The eco lodge is private with its own parking and despite the roasting weather the week we were there, it kept a comfortable temperature inside. lovely big bed, excellent space to relax and with it's own kitchen and bathroom and all the amenities you could want. Kunzi the owners friendly cat is on hand to meet and greet and the field adjacent the front of the lodge is alive with wildlife. It's a great place to relax or use as a base for exploration. Recommend Wallingford and Henley on Thames for exploration and the Ridgeway for great walking and scenic views.

Great Neighborhood to stay in. Walkable to Battersea park and many bus stops. Easy access to the flat. The only knock was that the flat upstairs from Charle’s place had ongoing construction and the construction worker smoked. Though, this was at no fault of the air bnb host. I had a lovely stay and enjoyed the Thai restaurant downstairs. Would stay in this cozy flat again.

Fantastic stay, hosts were brilliant and went out way to make me feel welcome, lovely to have use of the pool, nice walk from streathem station over the common and lovely neighbourhood, highly recommend

Karen is a super friendly and responsive host, we felt very much welcomed and that our comfort and enjoyment of our stay was her priority. The cottage is stunning set in extensive grounds with its own private garden. We had everything we needed for an amazing, relaxing weekend with walks on our doorstep and the Ridgeway close by. One of the best places we have every stayed in, we hope to come back soon!

Want a nice quiet spot in West London that's affordable? This is it. Always got peaceful nights sleep and it's easy to get to the underground or walks to Shepherd's Bush.

Jodi’s home is a great place to stay. We were going to a wedding at Hackney Town Hall and could walk easily there and to the restaurant afterwards. It’s also beautifully located looking out at London Fields. The home was well provided for, we had everything we needed and so much more. We loved the decor, there was so much to see and read. Thank you Jodi, you were so helpful too and we loved your home.

Ali's place was perfect, a quiet oasis in a really nice area, we loved the local park, markets and great restaurants and it was all within walking distance or easy tube/bus ride of our favourite parts of London. Ali's home is relaxing and clean and as a host she was responsive and timely with very detailed instructions that made our life easy. Would love to stay again thanks Ali...
